About
The whole of Great Britain, on your phone, with no signal.
Pitch is a map and a notebook for wild camping. Drop a pin where you are standing, get an Ordnance Survey grid reference, and save it with a note and a photograph. Every bit of it works in airplane mode.
The map is really offline. Contours for all of Great Britain are built into the app — not cached, not downloaded on demand, not a subscription. There is no account, no server, and nothing to sign up for.
It tells you what the ground is doing. Slope, aspect and shelter, read from Ordnance Survey elevation data. Rivers and streams. Open access land in England, so you can see where you have a right to walk.
Say where you are, out loud. Every pitch has a short code — '2SSWR-GWSA3' — that carries the position and how precisely it is known. Read it down a phone, or show the QR code. Nothing is uploaded at either end.
Plan a trip and carry it. A few nights in an order, the pitches you are aiming for, and the pack you are taking. When the day comes, the map shows tonight's pitch and the bearing to it.
Weigh what you carry. A gear locker, reusable kit lists, and base weight — the number that actually matters — with the Big Three broken out.
It never claims more than it knows. A grid reference is only ever quoted as finely as the fix and the datum honestly support. Level ground reports no aspect. If the answer is "I don't know", Pitch says so rather than guessing. That rule runs through the whole app.
Your spots are yours. They live on your phone, they are never uploaded, and you can export the lot whenever you like.
Contains OS data © Crown copyright and database right. Open access land © Natural England copyright, England only — and a right to walk is not a right to camp, which the app says every time it draws it.

Plan what you eat, and know what it weighs. • A shelf for your meals, weighed once and used on every trip • Food counts into what you carry — and never into base weight, because base weight is what is still there at the end • Water is worked out separately: the app sums what the packets ask for, and multiplies your own daily allowance. It will not guess that number for you, and it says so • Meals join the trip's packing checklist, so dinner gets ticked into the bag like the tent • Long screens now fold away section by section, and a folded section still says what is in it
