User reviews

Best tuner I’ve found so far

I play double bass with gut strings. Most electronic tuners, even expensive ones, tune my strings sharp. This tuner gets them in tune. It’s also very easy to see what’s happening with the big needle display. The alternate display is valuable to show how the pitch of the string develops and decays. I’d give this tuner as many stars as there are.

Ottima App

Utile e ben fatta. Funziona molto bene.

Easy to use from the start!

It is simple to use, the display is good, it works even on the low notes of my 34 string harp and I can keep it adjusted at A = 432H. So yes, very pleased!

FAQ

What does the Pitched Tuner app do?

This app functions as a chromatic tuner and pitch pipe, designed to help musicians quickly and easily tune their instruments using their device's microphone. It supports a wide variety of instruments and offers both instrument-specific and chromatic tuning modes.

What instruments can I tune with this app?

The app is designed to work with a wide range of instruments including ukulele, violin, mandolin, flute, guitars (including 7-string), voice, banjo, bass (4, 5, and 6 string), cello, and double bass. You can also create custom tunings for instruments not listed.

Is the app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, but it offers in-app purchases. These purchases likely unlock additional features or remove ads, providing a freemium model for users.

How accurate is the tuning?

The app uses responsive and precise algorithms to provide professional-level accuracy. It clearly shows the frequency being played, the nearest note, and the error in cents, allowing for easy tracking of small pitch changes.

Can I tune my instrument without touching the screen?

Yes, the app offers hands-free tuning. This feature allows you to tune all of your strings without needing to interact with the screen, which is particularly useful for stringed instruments where you might need to tune between each string.
