What's New in Pitching Stats Tracker & Radar
6.0
July 9, 2026
Thanks for using Pitching and for caring enough about your pitchers to keep better records. This update sharpens the app into a cleaner, faster, more complete baseball pitching tracker for speed work, games, teams, seasons, and stats. This release focuses on making Pitching easier to use at the field while adding deeper game and season tracking behind the scenes. The app now has a clearer flow for quick pitch speed timing, full pitching logs, game records, pitcher rosters, team management, and the More area. - Added a dedicated quick speed tab for fast pitch velocity tracking - Added a pitching split view with saved pitch logs and a detailed speed tracker - Moved pitchers into the main tab bar for faster roster access - Kept Teams and More easy to reach from the main navigation - Added plus buttons in the upper right for new records - Added question mark help buttons in the upper left of record views - Added practical help screens that explain how to use each view and enter records - Added search to pitch logs, games, pitchers, teams, seasons, awards, and stats - Updated add flows so record screens feel more consistent Pitch speed tracking now works better as its own view. You can time a pitch, calculate mph and ft/sec, save the result, and review pitch log summaries. The full pitching view keeps saved sessions nearby, while quick speed mode stays focused on timing velocity with less setup. - Save speed records by pitcher and event - Track pitch type and pitch result - Review fastest, previous, average, and total pitch counts - Search saved pitch logs - Start a new pitch log with the plus button - Use help from the question mark button when needed Games now carry more complete pitching data. You can enter the core pitching stats a coach or scorekeeper needs for a game log, then review calculated output in the game and stats views. - Added opponent official at bats - Added opponent hits - Added earned runs scored - Added innings pitched - Added strikeouts - Added home runs - Added walks - Added batters hit by pitches - Added pickoff attempts - Added pickoffs - Added steppers for editable game pitching inputs - Added game pitching stat summaries - Added calculated game pitching outputs Calculated pitching stats now include ERA, opponent batting average, base on balls percentage, strikeout percentage, pickoff percentage, pickoff ratio, walks per at bat ratio, walks per inning pitched ratio, home run ratio, strikeout ratio, strikeout to walk ratio, WHIP, hits per inning, and hit batter ratio. The Stats view now does more than show app totals. It includes game pitching stats, season pitching stats, team pitching stats, pitcher leaders, pitching leaders, velocity leaders, and team records. Search helps narrow the view when a season or roster grows. Teams, seasons, awards, games, and pitchers also received cleanup so record entry is more direct. The app uses baseball and pitching language throughout, with legacy and non-baseball wording removed from visible flows. Visual polish is included too. The updated light blue theme, green outlines, cleaner tab bar spacing, and safer bottom padding help keep content visible around the tab bar. SF Symbols remain where they help navigation and More table rows, while buttons stay text-first or simple where that makes the app easier to read. This update is built around the way pitching records are used in real life: time the pitch, save the pitcher, log the game, review the numbers, and come back later with confidence.
