Works as advertised⚾️👍🏻
This is the only radar gun app I've found that actually works. The ability to mark the pitch start and end times give you very accurate values - better than real radar gun as you can record from many angles and save the results to a video. Worth the money!
Great idea; rough execution
Most baseball radar apps are more a test of your thumb accuracy than a precision tool for measuring MPH. Of course, NO phone has an actual radar, so all apps must employ some form of the equation d=rt to calculate velocity.
While Pitchman gives you pinpoint accuracy in locating the exact frame of release and catch, the software has stability issues, which scrubs the joy right from it.
Since the developer has not upgraded it in a while, I suspect others will soon pick up on the idea and make a better app. I’ll be looking for it, too.

Accurate and versatile
This app is so simple yet so effective. Way better then any other app I’ve seen and way more accurate. I have tested it with my son pitching against my radar gun and was within 1-2mph at 60mph. Takes a little time set release point and catching point. It is only as effective as the information you feed it. Just the feature of showing video with time frame by frame is also useful for swing evaluation or various other things. Great app!

Support site down...
I just downloaded your app. It crashes when I try to import video from the library and also when using the camera. When I try to use the camera from within the app it “soft crashes” back to the home screen. I was able to make a test recording and add the markers once but have not been able to repeat.
Can you help or are you working on an update? The app is promising and a good idea.
Also you support site seems to be down.

Very accurate
Took me a while to figure out, but when I did I got excellent results. It's perfect for my kid in travel ball.
Awesome App!
This is awesome! Set distance, mark release, mark catch...accurate feedback. As for the distance/speed issue addressed in another review, the overlooked component is time. The reviewer is telling the app the ball covered a greater distance and the app is registering the same time for distance traveled. If the ball covers a greater distance in the same time, the speed has to be faster.

Application is more Trouble then it's worth!
I have not had any success getting this Application to work. It is difficult to understand and not worth the money or headaches.
Confused!
When I change the distance further the speed is faster so when I put it at 35 feet (for 10U FastPitch) her speed is slower! Wouldn't the closer you are be faster?
Good app
This is a very legit & accurate app. I looked and looked to find an accurate radar app to tell me how fast I throw but couldn't find anything besides faulty touch and release apps. For this all you need is a video from any angle & I got a perfect mph # on my fastball. Excellent app, well worth the 1.99 as apposed to a 1500 $ radar gun. Absolutely fantastic, perfect to figure out pitch speed.

App won't even download
I'd try another app. This one wouldn't even download.
Too hard to figure out!!
This app is too hard to figure out! Needs more info. before someone purchases!!
Does the job at a good price and fits in your pocket
A real radar gun is easier to use, but like most people i don't carry one around with me. This app works just well as a radar gun (with a little more effort) and it fits in my pocket. That is a reasonable tradeoff. Also, it IS accurate. Anyone who says it is not accurate is not using it correctly.
Clocked very accurately.
Compared it to the radar gun at practice and was within a 1-2 MPH every time. Cool app.
too cumbersome
too cumbersome to use, especially on a phone. I have other methods of clocking pitch speeds that are much more accurate and don ’t require me to stop everything to manipulate the video. I like clocking pitchers during games (warm ups) but this clearly is not made for that. Also I did not find it to be accurate at all.

Accurate speeds
Tested this at the MLB game and it matched the speed on the scoreboard every time.
Dumb
Worthless for little league fast pitch . Should have an option to change the distance of the mound to plate to 35 feet. Tried to contact developer to see if they could add this option and email is invalid. Waste of $2.
Works well, needs some improvement
A pretty solid app with minor annoyances that does what it's supposed to; more accurate than apps that rely on your reflexes. I used a Glove Radar prior to this, but this app allows me to measure speed from the dugout. A few bugs need to be squashed to make this app great: The app kicks you out of the library and the app itself when switching between analyzed videos. I wish the library would display pitch type. Trying to delete multiple videos is a bit glitchy. Elapsed time during video recording doesn't work, making it difficult to know when you're rolling. App records at 240 fps which is great but rendering is slow; I wish I could quick save the video with stats without having to generate a new clip every time, especially during a game. Not sure how the magnifying glass is supposed to help since the pitcher and catcher are frequently out of reach. Nice graphics, though I could do without the Pitchman billboard on every video render. The import video function is what sold me on this app, very useful feature. Recommend highly.

Really fun app....
Use this all the time with the kids...great fun!
Updated version
Cheaper than a radar gun and just as effective. Better interface takes up less space.
Great App
Easy to use, love the new update.
