One of the best

What makes me love this game so much is the fact that you thought about the Blind community great job The thing is not too many developers think that way this game is totally amazing. Great job and please please please keep up the good work.

Response from developer

Awesome, thanks a lot for feedback, really appreciate it. And hope the vision impaired are enjoying it..

Skill issue

Maybe it’s skill but I can’t for the life of me get the ball to go STRAIGHT in straight mode. I just want to flick the ball and it go instead of swipe 3 times for each shot. You need a mode for that. Or have a similar mechanism to Pokémon go throw technique which works great. The current two bowl mechanics aren’t cutting it.

Hey thanks for playing and your feedback. So unfortunately it must be something you’re doing wrong. There’s hundreds and hundreds of really high scores and a 300 on the leaderboard. So mechanics are working for others. It’s a tap to stop, tap to set power. And swipe up to bowl. But Note. You have to swipe up in the direction you want the ball to go. If you don’t swipe directly up then it won’t go straight… Also when you first opened the app you had a tutorial, during that tutorial it asked if you wanted spin bowl or straight bowl??? Check in the settings which one you chose and make sure it’s straight bowl.. then you will bowl straight. Sorry that’s all the help I can offer…

Grundsolider Zeitvertreib

Response from developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback. I’ll have a look at them, seeing opponents frames makes sense and the quarterfinals idea is good, appreciate it.

Love the game

A friend of mine turned me onto this game and I absolutely love it. I am a totally blind person so the extra work and care that you’ve taken with accessibility is very much appreciated here. This is a fantastic game and I recommended to absolutely anyone brings back memories of my bowling years years ago thanks for such a great game love it!

Thank you for playing and the awesome feedback. I’m glad you’re enjoying the game and happy the accessibility is working great for you..

Great game!

I'm addicted to this game. The only thing I would suggest is adding a bowling alley sound effect to have more immersion in the game as opposed to music while you're bowling. Hopefully that's doable.

Response from developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback, that suggestion seems doable. I’ll take a look and see what I can come up with.. Appreciate it..

Wow developer, just wow!

Very nicely done bowling game. I love how this game is voice over compatible for blind and visually impaired users to play! Thanks and keep up the great work

Response from developer

Thanks a lot appreciate it..

Love this game so far

When I first wrote my review, I should have mentioned that I am a voiceover user. I love the way the app is now you can lock or unlock your position especially if you want to switch lanes. Thank you so much for fixing this and for all the hard work you put into it.

Response from developer

Awesome, thanks for playing and glad your liking it. Appreciate the feedback, I did visit the applevis.com site and did see some comments about a few things and tried to implement them. Thanks again..

bien

un mode multi-joueur serai sympa.

Great Game, Accessibility Improvements Still Needed

This is a very solid bowling game with great music and sound effects, and I really appreciate the effort that was taken to make it voiceover compatible so that blind people can play too! But there are still a few things I have noticed that need a little polishing.
Generally, the game is able to be played with voiceover, but I feel like there could still be improvements made on how the controls work. I think it's mostly personal preference, but at the moment I feel like the voiceover control scheme isn't as precise or quick as it could be. You have to wait for the position to be where you want it to be, and once it's locked in, it's locked in, and there's no way to change it, so there are many points where I'm stuck at the wrong position and knowing I'm going to miss the pins but cannot change it. The idea of the power behind the throw being controled by when you double tap during the rising and falling tone is also a really interesting idea, but is a bit clunky in practice. I have never figured out how to get strikes consistently yet. I have thrown at the same position and nearly the same power level but did not get the same results. Which makes me feel like it's a game of pure chance rather than any actual skill.
The announcements could also use a little work. Right now it's hard to tell when one frame ends and another begins, and exactly how the score is calculated.
Ultimately, I think this is a very solid game that's fun to play and could be fun for sighted and blind players alike. Keep up the good work.

Response from developer

Thank you playing and thank you for the review, this is awesome feedback, appreciate it. The positioning of the ball with voice over has been my biggest battle, the centre position is wider than you probably expect it to be, I tried adding another position call between left and centre but the voice over kept cutting of as the ball is moving left right, so there is actually a split second either side of centre that will still be just off centre but can get strikes, But let me work on something to make that better. Speed of the ball has a little impact on getting strikes, but not a lot, a faster ball will benefit when not exactly in the pocket of the pins, but over all it's about the position. So the game in Non voice over mode is controlled via swiping in the direction, angle you want the all to go in, you set position, then power then swipe up the screen straight or angle depending where you want it to go. So with voice over I had to redesign the mechanics a bit. And lastly ill take a look at adding something to re position the ball, cause yea that would suck knowing your going to miss but are locked in. Thanks again for the feedback, and ill see what I can come up with to make better.

Best bowling game
