Does not work
This app has camera access and creates a poorly pixelated preview from your rear camera- it also pixels your face but with huge squares so you can’t tell it’s a face.
When I tried to pixelate a photo from my phones gallery - absolutely nothing the app just goes back to the original rear camera preview And takes a random screenshot of exactly the same photo un- pixelated - so you just get another copy of a photo you already have.
Terrible im so sorry but I’d like my money back please?
Doesn’t work with library photos

Library photo support has been fully rebuilt in v1.3.0 (Apr 2025). You can now import photos from your library, pixelize them with any of the new palettes (Game Boy, PICO-8, Apple II, MSX, Arcade), and save the results to a dedicated album. Thank you for the patience — we'd love it if you gave the latest version a try.

Thank you so much — your review made our day! Camera performance has been significantly improved in the recent Swift rewrite (v1.3.0+), and we've added retro palettes, video recording, and CRT scanlines since then. Hope you enjoy the new features!
Sloppy design, don’t do the job at all
You have to be lucky to have your photo pixelized correctly. Even the camera doesn’t give you the right dimensions, you’ll see everything squished in the viewer.
Functions of the buttons are not self-explanatory and too blurry to even guess what they do. Terrible irony here, since it’s an app meant to hide details.

Thank you for the detailed feedback — both issues have been addressed in the v1.3.0 / v1.4.x rebuilds. The portrait/landscape aspect ratio bug has been fixed, and the UI has been completely redesigned with a full-screen preview and clearer, larger controls. We'd be grateful if you could try the new build.
