OK but flawed offer

I like Photomator and Pixelmator once I had stopped them fighting with Apple Photos . Pixelmator is better than the orphaned version they also sell as a stand alone product . IMHO both have promise. However, I can’t justify buying the Creator Studio at 13£ a month for this one product. To my annoyance I will be sticking with Adobe where I can pay ( albeit subscription ) and get class leading photography products for the similar price.

Very easy to use

Definitely worth the money if you’re an avid graphic designer and need to edit photos into a style that you need, I have access to this software through work and I have to say that Apple’s UI is some of the best in the market - not trying to glaze them, that is my genuine opinion. The tools are fluid to use, and the ability to seamlessly interface between this app and other IOS apps like Photos and Files is a great demonstration of what the ecosystem can excel in.

Canvas

Multiple canvas is the only thing we need to leave adobe.

Lacks UI Customization

The program is good however the lack of ability to move the interface or quick access options with your digital pen makes it very inconvenient for drawing artists. Quick radial menus with customized buttons would make life easy. The layers panel has only lock and visibility button. Options like delete, duplicate should also be made easily available like the lock icon.

YES YES YES!!!

I’ve been using Adobe Creative Cloud for YEARS and recently started using my iPad Pro Gen.3 for designing. This app is just as good if not better in some ways than any graphics design in the Adobe Suite. Seamless integration and no lag using ZAGG Pro Stylus 2 with Pixelmator Pro too. 10/10 would recommend, especially for the price. Didn’t even know Apple had this but I’m so glad I do now.

Unimpressed

No previews for Raw files. No watermarking tool. No working masking for landscape photos. No presets for adaptive sky, curves, sharpening, etc. I found an oval mask but couldn’t get it to resize properly and couldn’t find a way to invert masks. No cataloging system. No companion app for iPhone. But the cherry on top is the obviously anti-consumer choice to withhold basic features from the stand-alone non-subscription one-time-purchase version. That’s just evil corporate behaviour. The longer I play with this the more I seem to be losing if I switch from the competition. You guys are going to have to put a lot more work into this if you want to compete.

Useless: No CMYK

Can’t be considered a ‘pro’ image editing tool without support for essential print specific colour profiles like CMYK

It works great! Love using Pixelmator

It works great

Please add artboards!

Please add artboards and the ability to image trace so this can properly compete with Illustrator.

Simply awesome

Pixelmator Pro has to be one of the best photo or image-editing apps I have ever come across! It easily stands up to and excels Adobe Creative Cloud. It is easy to use, creates remarkable images, and what you can create with Pixelmator Pro is limitless. It is one of the best apps in Apple Creator Studio! 5 stars and more! I continue to do some of my best work on Pixelmator Pro.

FANTASTIC

I am just loving Pixelmator as a standalone and as an enhancement to Pages, making life beautiful again!

It is fantastic, clear and easy!!

I always have troubles with a software like this, but Pixelmator is clear, easy, intuitive…..Yes, I love it, and I tried just one, tiny part of it, so…

Can’t use with iPad Pro 2019

Can’t use with iPad Pro 2019. Updated iOS.

真坑

以前那个可以买断不更新了,重新弄了一个可以月租的

Photoshopに慣れていると使いづらい

割とPhotoshopでは何でもできるのですが、同じことをこのPixelmator Proでやろうとすると、いちいちやり方が違うのでイライラします。

LOVE Pixelmator

I used PC’s since The 1980s, unfortunately our family only used Windows computers. It wasn’t until I started working for Apple in 2010 when I bought my first Mac that I was blown away at what was possible on The Mac. Before 2010, while on Windows, there was software available but it was clunky, complicated, and hard to use. I felt like I had no talent or capability to really do anything like video editing, photography, designing logos, designing apparel, so I just gamed. But when I first got my hands on my 2010 iMac I opened iMovie and was blown away at how easy it was to edit, add cool effects to videos, started a YouTube channel to review strategy games. Then I discovered Pixelmator on iPad and iMac and that opened a HUGE door for me. I have designed hundreds, possibly thousands of designs for shirts, polos, accessories. I made logos, website graphics, Box Art for a Game Im making for Steam and The Mac App Store all on Pixelmator Pro. So thankful for this App and Apple because they let me see, I can be creative, they let me realize something very important in my life that …. ‘I CAN’

Adding my voice to the opposition to the subscription model…

I have been using the long term license version of pixelmator pro for a project, and while it may not replace Adobe products, I do like it. I’m not actually a person that hates the idea of subscriptions as much as other people do, but in this case, I think it’s a mistake.
I like the software enough to have it in my selection of tools, but I don’t use the others in the suite, and I don’t plan on it being a primary software.
On the other hand, it’s nice to have access to new features….
It’s also true that when you are an Apple user, that you end up giving them a lot of money, and that I think they do reciprocate in certain ways that can make it worth it. This feels like a violation of that unwritten agreement.
The idea that it’s a cheap one time purchase was great, but software does need maintenance, and all they need to do is provide that maintenance alongside the subscription model.
Even fairly priced version upgrades would be better than the “subscripiton-suite” model.
