SONG RECOGNITION IS NOW YOURS TO TRIGGER Until now, Pladio decided on its own when to listen to the stream and identify a track. That was wasteful when the station was already telling you what was playing, and unhelpful in the moment you actually wanted to know. Now there's a button. When a station sends no usable title, the button offers to listen. Tap it, and Pladio samples a few seconds of audio and tells you what's playing. Once a song is identified, the same button adds it to your Apple Music library, and shows a checkmark once it's there. Press and hold to identify again — useful when a station's metadata is wrong or has gone stale. On the Mac, right-click instead. The button is on the player screen on iPhone, iPad and Mac, in the Mac menu bar mini player, and on Apple Watch, Apple TV and CarPlay. MORE RELIABLE PLAYBACK Starting a station from CarPlay, a widget or a Siri Shortcut while Pladio is fully closed no longer stalls. The startup work now runs under a safety timeout, so it can't hang indefinitely and leave you force-quitting the app. If iOS interrupts playback — a phone call while you're on CarPlay, a lost audio route — and then never sends the matching "interruption ended" signal, the next play request now works normally instead of failing silently. A start that fails no longer leaves the player showing "playing" over silence. The app, CarPlay and the Lock Screen all show the real state. Looking up a station's stream address is now bounded by a timeout, falling back to the station's original address rather than waiting forever. SMALLER FIXES The first-use hint on the recognition button now wraps to as many lines as it needs, instead of being cut off after one. A recognition error no longer quietly stops song identification for the rest of the session. When the recognition service is temporarily unavailable, the song on screen stays where it is instead of going blank mid-track. — Thank you to everyone who sent diagnostic logs and patiently answered follow-up questions.
