Hey Apple, was this so hard?
It does nothing, which is perfect.
It is crazy how hard it is to find an app for iOS that will take my text and not apply formatting to it.
Plain text editor saves the day, by doing nothing. Not mangling my text, not applying formatting, not replacing my 2 dashes with an emdash, not carrying over a font or font size that I didn’t want.
Perfect simplicity.

Strips out everything - and thtat’s good
This is how I use it: Paste in text that’s formatted with stuff I don’t want and bingo, it’s beautiful plain text. Highlight, copy, and use elsewhere. OK, there are other apps for Mac OS, but for iOS not so much - and it syncs everywhere - so this is my choice.
