Good app; no updates or way to communicate
Plan board is a good app for teachers and it has a lot of positives, but when there is a glitch there is no easy way to communicate or send an email to Planboard to let them know. Very frustrating.
The Best Teacher Planner App Out There!
Started using this three years ago, game changer - link all lessons in to MS SharePoint, easily share plans with other staff, change an amend between devices, helpful widget on my work iPad screen, use standards to organise curriculum and map out curriculum standards, as a HOD it goes beyond a simple teacher planner. Now all staff in my department use this. This app has genuinely changed the way I work as a teacher, and saved me some time.

Glitch
There seems to be a glitch on the app where it is no longer showing what day on the schedule it is. It is located on the bottom left hand side when in the planner view. It only shows “chalk.rotation.day_number”, instead of “day 1, day 2, etc…”. Please fix!
Error messages
Added one class to my schedule and it refused to add any more even on different days. Error messages that told me to submit a ticket. Gave up. Trying Canva.
Beat free tool out there.
I have been using this app for 10 years. I can carry over lessons, schedules, whole units from year to Year. I can love things around easily and set a reminder for any upcoming date in the year. I LOVE this app and recommend it to all my student teachers.
Mobile version is glitchy and useless
Mobile version won’t let me schedule a class earlier than 9AM, and is just generally glitchy. Laptop browser version works great.
Couldn’t use it
Couldn’t even use the app. It wouldn’t let me click on the plus sign to add my first class. Deleted app. Looking for another one. May just go old school and write it all down.
Keeps Crashing
I never got past serting up. Every time I tried to add a class to my schedule it would say something went wrong. Got tired of trying.
Great tool!
I have been using Planboard for years and love the flexibility it provides. My school previously had a three-day rotating schedule and this app helped me manage the schedule with ease. When our school schedule changed, it was easy to make the new one. I also love that I can reuse lesson plans super easily from year to year. An improvement I would suggest is for the mobile app to be able to access the unit description pages. Sometimes I have a note/idea I would like to leave myself for a lesson, and if I'm at a computer to access the web version, I will put ideas in the unit planning space. The mobile app doesn't have this option. Small fix, but would be great! Overall, I tell every teacher I know about how great Planboard is!

Errors
App doesn’t let you add classes - gives error but then doesn’t let you report the error. Useless!
Schedule Tool doesn’t work
I tried to put in a class that was from 0750-0915 and it kept giving an error message. It looks like the scheduling took only works for time-slots that are exactly on the hour for one hour (ex: 0900-1000 not 9:15-10:20).
App Errors
The app doesn’t allow you to schedule classes. The help section of the website says this is a known issue, and recommends using the website over the app, rendering the app useless.

App is straight forward and simple to use but ive been here for over an hour trying to make a schedule only for it to keep saying invalid time EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT I give up
Again, good but…
As many people have said, it’s a great app and means I don’t have to carry a paper planner around anymore.
However, as a science teacher in England, it takes a long time to put together the units. I have multiple classes doing the same thing, but have to set them up separately. Desperately hoping this can change in the near future. Would even pay for that function…

Sped teacher in TX
Thank you so much!! I teach 3 grade levels of English Resource! This is making planing so easy!
My year will go much smoother this year! I love that I can adjust my plan because every teacher knows that the plans will change! Also thanks that it’s free! Another thing all teachers love!!! Thanks again!

Couldn’t set up classes
I got to step 3 in the set up phases and then t said to tap the + to add my first class. Tap tap tap. Nothing.
Did not work
This app crashed every time I tried to change the time of a class to anything other than 9-10a. Disappointed.
Doesn’t work
I can’t add any classes. It tells me to press the plus button, but nothing happens. I’ve tried restarting the app three or four times and I get the same result.
The best app for teachers
The best all encompassing app for teachers, hands down.
