Update on the downward spiral of this app
It’s been nearly a year now with planes being in the air with no logos. I was told they were stripping flight logos from airlines operated as franchises so the paper company logos would apparently start appearing instead of the logos for the actual airlines people are buying tickets from and indeed the liveries. So Aer lingus regional flights will have emerald airlines logos, air Canada express will have jazz logos. These are companies no one even knows about so what’s the point?? It’s like Pepsi or Coca Cola removing their branding and replacing it with the logo of the bottling company. It seems they are doubling down on the misinformation. We now have Air Canada flights operating in to London Heathrow with Air Canada Rouge flight logos. An airline that doesn’t even operate to Heathrow let alone have the livery on the side of the plane. I will never know why the staff maintaining the app have nuked the accuracy of their app. The fact they are currently advertising their app to people to check what flight is in the sky is just laughable. Chances are they will completely mislead you.

Great but would pay for a premium membership if…
Love the app but there’s a feature no-one provides. I’d love the to be able to download the flight path of my flight and using the predicted journey time, to just get an indication on the map where I am in the airspace around me. I love high altitude photography and love knowing what is outside my window but there are no apps that make this available. Come on people!!

Very disappointed
I tried to restore a purchase for the app that I made a few years ago and it does not work. Contacted support who asked for information which I sent them. Chased up support no response. Disappointed in the support received.

How many tracking cookies!
I wanted to use these app to track my flights when I go on holiday, but straight away found myself toggling multiple tracking options to off before getting to use the app. No app should use so many companies to track what a user does. There must have been at least 50 different companies. Gave up in the end and never got to use the app.

Bought on 1st day
I bought Plane Finder the first day it was released on the Apple Store. Being a plane watcher it was my first experience with live tracking of aircraft, including all types and reasons. The military ones are interestedly one sided. NATO turns on their transmitter and shows up here but there’s a giant hole between Ukraine and Russia where GPS is a luxury. You can sometimes see a Russian Air Force plane pop on the screen, usually a heavy lift aircraft. Yup, cool app, but could be cooler. Always room for improvement and there should be two completely designs for iPhones and iPads.
