About
Planet Dial shows the current time on each of the eight planets, at that planet's own pace.
On Jupiter the second hand runs 2.4 times faster than on Earth. On Venus one second lasts two Earth minutes, so the hands barely move. On Neptune the same month lasts thousands of days. You feel how differently time flows on each world, not as numbers but as the motion of the hands.
• Eight planet clocks, with the planet itself as the dial
• Mean solar time at each planet's prime meridian. Mars matches NASA's Mars Coordinated Time
• A calendar for each planet: years counted from AD 1, twelve months around the orbit, days of that planet
• Venus and Uranus rotate backwards, so their hands run counter-clockwise
• Earth shows your device's own time and date
• Portrait or landscape
• A desk clock: hide the text, set it down, and it dims on its own
Three gestures only: swipe to change planet, tap to hide the text, press and hold to see how long the planet's second, day and year are in Earth time.
