Great way to communicate across borders
I’ve used Planet Talk for over a year to communicate with family abroad. I’m in the UK. I find it easy to use, and they give special deals every so often.

Great service but lacking text function
Loved my time with this app, really did, appreciated the special offers now and then very much but sadly had to move to YollA as needed to be able to text abroad more often than call. Hope you offer that function someday!

Unable to Add card and top up
I am recently unable to top up because I was asked to add my card details afresh, having been using the app for over a year. After I added my card details, the message that pops up is “failed saving card, the operation couldn’t be successful” as error.
Can this be resolved please as I have been using this app for international calls.

Really poorly designed app
I’ve used PlanetTalk’s prepaid service for over 10 years, but now due to their discontinuing it, I’m trying their app. App is slow, you cannot see which number (home/mobile/work) or even see the full number of a chosen contact. The least a phone app can do is show you what phone number you’re dialling. Aside from this, their call pricing is over twice as expensive - example: for calls to US from UK; was 0.5p/minute now 1.2p/minute.

The latest version of the app
The reason that I have joined Planet Talk around February this year was that my previous app closed down on 31st of January. When I downloaded Planet Talk it was somewhat inaccessible to me as I use VoiceOver on my iPhone because I am blind and which the previous app Supported fully. I could top up my planet Talk account but that was pretty much what I could do as I couldn’t do anything else and I had to use the app with assistance. However, as I was using the app more and more, I found that if I was swiping constantly around the screen I could, with some difficulty, I don’t deny, make a phone call by dialling the number as I had to swipe twice because VoiceOver was reading the numbers twice as well, so instead of being them as a single line. It was a double line number instead and only one line of number was working of course. However, upon downloading the newest version today, I am very pleased that the redesign is very good and the app is very accessible. So I would like just to say keep up the good work and please keep the app accessible as it is from the latest version onwards. I can do everything on the app now on my own: topping up the account, making calls, checking my balance, absolutely everything.

Excellent customer service
There was a hitch in my being able to connect overseas, but I got straight through on the customer service helpline, and the two people I talked to were superb.

It wants my credit card number?
It does the job very well but why does it doesn’t allow me to top up via Apple Pay?? you really want me to give my card number to a company I have never heard of? And store it on their servers? That’s a recipe for disaster

Don’t use it
It’s absolutely rubbish app my advise to keep away from scam I top up my account with £5 before 10 days ago and still got nothing I call the customer service and they asking me to send screenshots from my bank account and When I sent it after 3 day asking me to send bank statement and I have sent it but the issue still not sorted out!

It’s ok
I have been using this app for a few years now. Like I said in my heading it’s ok. There’s room for improvement so could be better. It can offer the best international call experience when it wants to but can disappoint when you list expect. I like their rate. I want them to improve on their app so that you can use your headphone to continue your call if you decide to put the phone away in your pocket while doing some manual labour.

I often find it difficult calling internationally and every time I buy a card the money seem to go with the air.. but with this.. perfect

New release will make me stop using the app
Whatever has happened in recent releases has caused me not to be able to use any other function on my phone while using the PT app. The speaker option doesn’t become available until the other person picks up, and calls constantly drop when on WiFi.
Voip to mobile phone
I’m impressed with the quality of the line and international calls made easy; on my mobile phone. However, I’m a bit curious as to future charges from my debit without my permission. I’d like to know in advance before any money leaves my account but overall; it’s great to be able to make these call with more ease. E. Ita

Not working
I am very happy with this app. And happy to rate it 5 stars. Been using it for a very long time. Just gave 1 star to get your attention. Need help with the app and have no idea how to reach app’s tech services.
Basicly, I am not able to open it on my iphone 7 plus since few days now. Every time I click on it it opens for 1 sec. and closes down straight away. Any ideas how can I fix it please? Still got my top up money there.

Great Service
I have tried a lot of other applications in the past to call my family abroad. Some free ones, well... the call quality was poor and a lot of time it would disconnect. Other, paid apps were too pricey often with hidden costs.
Planet Talk is fantastic! Great call quality, no distributions and a great price!
I would only suggest adding individual call cost, it would help to monitor.
Overall I really recommend you give it a go. 5 stars!

Amazing, great rates, the best out there!!!
The call quality is quite good too.
I have used so far; Skype, Tesco international calling, Asda, O2 and BT and I can honestly say that this app has one of the better calls quality.
Overall; this is the app I will be using from now on.

They can’t fix problems
I am getting a message form the past 2 weeks when ever I try to call telling ( only using planet talk app ) and gets disconnected I spoke to their costumers services and they cannot solve the issue I have sufficient credit but cannot use because the app is giving this problem did restart the mobile , updated app and software but they simply can’t fix the issue very poor service

Australia, no problem
I have an aged aunt and uncle in Adelaide, and without Planet Talk it would cost me a small fortune to keep in touch with them as much as I now feel I need to do.
Apart from the financial benefit to praise, I am delighted with the quality of the calls, and the ease of making them. It’s no more difficult or less clear than making a traditional landline connection.

Calling Pakistan
Came across this app today after getting frustrated via the service on another app to call my family in Pakistan for Eid. The call on this app was excellent and simple. Will definitely use again.
Excellent service
I have been using planet talk for the last more than 6 months and have found useful and efficient. Quality of calls is very good and connects straight away.

The longest customer
I’ve been using Planet Talk for nearly 20 years. I started using it to call my Aunt from the UK to Canada. Then for international business calls. I’ve probably spent less than $50 topping it up in all that time, but I’ve saved thousands of dollars on international calls. As an avid Skype and Whatsapp user for free, I don’t hesitate to use Planet Talk for non-Skype users or when the WiFi signal is lousy. It’s a great service.
