I love it it but..
I love using Planta to care for my plants. I would really love a social feature where users can follow each other, search for friends, view public plant collections, and share our plant journeys. It would make the community feel much more connected. Thank you!
Week Trial…
The free week trial for the app to ‘test’ it out is not great. There is nothing you can use on the app because it will just take you right back to the subscription purchase pop up. What’s the point of testing this out free for a week when you can’t even use the app?! What a joke.
Don’t understand why the AI can’t do things
Why do I have a convo with “Dr. Planta” but it doesn’t update the watering timing or anything? I don’t get why it’s separate
Really Good App
As an owner of a dozen or so plants, I rely on this app to help me manage my plants. I think it does a really good job in that regard! I have no significant complaints about the app. Keep it up.
Abusive freemium UX
Most basic features are locked behind paywalls. The few “free” features are littered with ads, including frequent popup ads that require multiple steps to dismiss.
Premium offers horrendous value- if you don’t shell out monthly for basic features, you are subject to everything described above.
Recommend using any of the free or paid alternatives that respect your time and money.

I thought this app was supposed to diagnose my plants so far it hasn’t done that!!?
Great for folks with a lot of different plants!
Planta is great for keeping track of watering when you have all different kinds of plants with different watering needs. My plants are so much happier now that I’m not drowning/forgetting them!
Yes, it’s worth it
I wanted to have a home filled with plants but didn’t know to to take care and with this app I have been able to keep beautiful and happy plants in my home. I do definitely recommend this app

This app has been super helpful with keeping the care of my plants organized. I take care of a lot of different plants, especially outdoors and I have noticed that the app is mostly accurate for the kind of care the plant needs depending on the weather. I am very impressed with it. I think I have been using it for over a year now.

Did it occur to Planta’s developers that gardeners might not want AI slop in their app? I’ve canceled my paid subscription.

Stole Cash from my Apple Wallet
I’ve got the free trial and after a few days, didn’t like the app so when the trail ended I clicked cancel to paying for the subscription and deleted the app. The next day they take about 46 or 50$ out of my account WITHOUT my permission. This is considered stealing and I didn’t get my money back at all. I told apple support i didn’t not authorize or make that payment however they cannot help. This app is AWFUL and steals your money. Don’t download

I lost at least 100 plants because of the app
I’ve lost a lot of plants because you changed the fertilizer option to include watering and I didn’t realize that. Before it was just a reminder to fertilize without the option to turn that feature off, so would just mark them as done from the group setting so that I didn’t have to go through all of them to mark as done which added a lot of time to the watering time. I lost at least a 100 plants, one of my prized possessions a huge rope plant. The reason I use this app is because it helps me manage my collection. I thought something in my environment had changed, but it was the app. You need to include options to turn off features for more experienced plant parents. The objective for people with large collections is to minimize the time to take care of the plants.
