PlantCoach is the plant care app that tells you exactly when each of your plants needs water — one verdict per day, no guesswork. Snap a photo. PlantCoach identifies the species and gives you a single decisive answer each morning: water today, or skip. Indoor plants use species-specific dry-down intervals. Outdoor plants are weather-aware — PlantCoach skips watering when rain is forecast. ON-DEVICE AI Plant identification runs on your iPhone using Vision. The agent that decides what to do today uses Apple Intelligence's Foundation Models — also on-device. Your plant photos and history never leave your iPhone. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No analytics. No tracking. All computation runs locally on your iPhone using Apple frameworks. The only network calls are to Apple WeatherKit (forecast) and Apple StoreKit (subscription verification). INDOOR VS OUTDOOR Tag each plant indoor or outdoor. Indoor plants get dry-down logic tuned to the species and your last-watered date. Outdoor plants use the WeatherKit forecast — PlantCoach skips a watering when rain is on the way. ROOMS AND GROUPS Organize plants by room — Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Office, Balcony — so your morning notification tells you where to go: "Living Room: 3 plants need water." Groups cut across rooms for the way you actually think about your plants: "Succulents", "Fussy ones", "Mum's". A plant can be in as many groups as you like. WATER A WHOLE ROOM IN ONE TAP You water by the roomful, not one plant at a time. Any room or group with more than one plant due today gets a "Water all" button. It opens ticked for exactly the plants that need water, and leaves the rest unticked — because watering a plant that didn't ask for it is the mistake PlantCoach exists to prevent. FEEDING, ON THE PLANT'S SCHEDULE PlantCoach tracks fertilising alongside watering, on an interval that suits the species, and pauses through the dormant season. Feeding a resting plant does more harm than missing a feed entirely. ONE REMINDER A DAY. TWO AT MOST. Most plant apps bury you in notifications. PlantCoach sends one daily digest. If your routine is split — kitchen at breakfast, balcony after work — you can add a second evening digest and assign any room, group or plant to either. That is the ceiling. There is no per-plant reminder, and there never will be. HOMEKIT One-tap import your existing HomeKit room names into PlantCoach so your morning notification tells you where to go: "Your monstera in the Living Room needs water."
