Plasebo: Mindset & Breathwork

The placebo effect, on purpose. Plasebo is a 2-minute daily mindset ritual: one color, one sound, one breath and one intention word. It looks like science. It isn't, and we tell you so on every screen. Researchers have seen effects even when people knew they were taking a placebo. Plasebo turns that idea into a daily habit you can actually keep, then lets you measure what it does for you. Most meditation apps ask for 20 minutes. Plasebo asks for two. HOW IT WORKS - Pick your goal: Focus, Sleep, Anxiety or Energy - Get today's formula: a calming color, a soundscape, a breathwork pattern and a word to set your intention - Press Start. Two minutes later you're done - Rate how you feel before and after, and watch your numbers over time FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE - A new formula every day, built around your goal - Guided breathwork: physiological sigh, box breathing, 4-7-8 and more, with gentle haptics - Calming soundscapes and color sessions to slow down and reset - A daily intention word, like an affirmation without the pressure to repeat it - A personal prescription once a day: describe how you feel in your own words and get a ritual made for it - Streaks, a weekly streak freeze, a heat map and milestones that make the habit stick - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets - Stats that compare your before and after scores TEST YOUR OWN BELIEF Turn on Blind Test and on some days you get an equally long, empty "sham" session instead of the real ritual. You won't know which until it's over. Stats compares real days and sham days side by side. If the difference is small, that's a finding too, and Plasebo won't hide it from you. The "How it works" screen lists the open-label placebo studies with sources, kept clearly apart from the app's playful made-up "findings". PLASEBO PLUS: MEASURE IT Plus doesn't lock the ritual. It adds the tools that measure it: - Unlimited face-scan mood check before and after a session. Frames are processed on your device and discarded immediately; no photo is saved or sent - Breath analysis during the ritual: regularity, depth and breaths per minute. No audio is recorded - A mid-day check-in and a single report the next morning - Unlimited prescriptions, full history, the advanced formula pool and double dose - No ads Start with a free week, then choose monthly or yearly. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - We don't run a server. Your sessions, scores, notes and measurements stay on your phone - Face and breath analysis run entirely on-device - Health data is read only if you turn it on, and nothing is written to Apple Health - Delete everything permanently with one tap in Settings ADS On the free tier, one full-screen ad may appear after a session when you return to the home screen, at most three times a day. Ads never interrupt a ritual, a measurement or a breathing step. Your measurements are never sent to the ad network. Plus members see no ads. ACCESSIBILITY & LANGUAGES Respects Reduce Motion.
