Play Action: Arcade Football

The clock's running and the game's in your hands. Read the coverage, call it, and let it rip - Play Action turns every snap into a fast, do-or-die decision. It plays like an arcade game and one thumb runs the whole thing. But under the hood, all 22 players run real assignments: a gap opens because your lineman WON his block, a receiver springs free because you beat the coverage. Skill wins here, not luck. Ever wish you could see what the coaches see? Tap any player before the snap and I'll explain his job. Select a play and get an explanation of the formation, understand when to use it and why it works, watch the defense respond. Test formations and coverages, each one modelled off NextGen stats. If you just want to have fun, select the Free Play mode and turn on the Coach mode and have him select the plays (he's a bit boring though - he'll get smarter in the future). Climb from Rookie to Hall of Fame, where the secondary gets faster and stickier and the defense stops tipping its call and starts disguising it. Then see if you can carve it up for an 5-star drive. Call true concepts - Four Verts, Mesh, Smash, Slants, Power, Counter, Draw and more - against real fronts and coverages: Cover 1, Cover 2, Cover 3, man, zone, and disguised blitzes that show one look and bring another. Recognize it, pick your answer, pick them apart.
