Event locator is terrible!

The fact the this event search is Play!’s own and is this terrible is concerning. A new player trying to get involved and I can’t reliably find events near me. Loading is inconsistent. Errors thrown constantly. Will appear one moment and disappear the next. Discouraging as if things this simple are this bad, how is everything else executed?

One job and can’t even do it

The app frequently logs you out and is unable to log back in sometimes. I only use it to check in on local events or see my play points but it can’t even do that without having a breakdown

ZERO STARTS TERRIBLE ACCESSIBILITY

i wish i could give this app zero stars. the old version online we used to have was so simple and easy to use and it also displayed events by dates rather than by store and checking out dates. i don't understand how the app has not improved AT ALL in the time that we've moved over to it... regionals keep going up and somehow we can't improve this app.

WHY WHY WHY

This app is absolute garbage and why did they take the website away?!? The website worked, the app doesn’t. Why can’t I choose the dates for the event locator, why can’t I see if it’s a cup or a challenge without having to click on the store, why can’t I order them by when they’re occurring?!? These were all features that were available on the old website, why did they take them away?!? This app is trash and they should’ve never taken the website away.

This is terrible

The idea of this app is great, but the execution of the event locator adds an almost impassable hurdle to finding events. Local cups and challenges will be less attended because of the difficulty of finding them. Please fix. At least let us favorite more than 8 stores.

Event locator sucks

Event locator sucks

Should be way better

For what this is for and who it’s made by, this should be way better. I’m a new player and it’s been really difficult figuring things out with this app as my resource. The event locator is not usable, it just shows stores - half of which are not real lol

Seems on brand for this company though. Bare minimum

Please fix event locator

Event locator is very clunky and hard to use. Points don’t update for ages. I’m sure Pokemon can do better than this!!

Useless

Event locator is basically trash
Takes 30 mins to find 1-3 stores that have events because of all the bugs

Do better

The event locator is absolute garbage

Event Locator

Although people have mentioned it I will be stating this once again. The event locator is essential for community building, competitive players and new players. The fact that it is very tedious and a chore to locate upcoming events is an issue that should have never happened. The fact other 3rd party locators are being shutdown and Pokemon is not addressing their issues with its own event locator is frustrating. You would think Pokemon with its strong IP would have this app at 4 to 5 stars but it is obvious that Pokemon is very out of touch with its player base. I do understand that if we do not bring this issue up over and over then it will not be resolved. I encourage others who read this to mention the event locator be restored back to how it was originally. Pokemon or devs won’t do anything without the majority speaking up.

Complete lack of quality of life

Many of the core functionalities of the app simply do not work. The event locator is a butchered, worse version of the previous web based event locator with the inability to sort events by date. My profile in the app that displays my championship points is very unreliable, often not updated properly, and does not accurately display the events I took part in. When using the web browser play pokemon site I can see my events logged correctly so somehow this is an app specific problem.

What happened to the Event Locator I love?

Needs improvement

The old one was better. Use pokedata.ovh

Fix Event Locator

I have to set aside 45min to 1 hour now to find events.

Put the ability to sort events by date and distance back in. Also, put date and time back in the results list.

Stop making us tap on every event to find out the time rather than quickly scrolling through and finding the info that’s needed.

Too many steps, old version worked way better.

Now you’re blocking 3rd party apps from mining the data they would compile to eliminate everything everyone hates about this app.

Tisk, tisk Pokemon!

Terrible event locator

the ui is decent and it has useful features for keeping up to date with championship points etc. but the event locator is incredibly restrictive if you don’t live near many leagues but would like to attend more, and even if you do having to manually view each individual league to see when their cups/challenges are is frustrating. on top of that you still sometimes have to contact the TO to get the correct start time/entry cost. I’ve shown up to tournaments that started earlier than the time listed on the event locator because of the lack of information it shows.
