The playing controls on the official Apple product have gotten too small for me to hit them consistently while doing other things, so I looked for another one. I found play!
It plays everything. It’s only flaw from my point of view is that it doesn’t provide a way to edit playlists—but that’s not a huge concern. As it is, I have music while jogging and it never asks to subscribe to a streaming service.

Amazing
I have finally found an app that plays my music the way I want to play it. I have a large library so I don’t want to stream or listen to adds I simply want to play my music, eureka.
If I were to ask for an extra feature it would be to save the last place it was playing and not to default back to all, or to have setting where you could set your preferred playlist or album, but I am now getting picky, super app.

App called "Play" doesn't play songs
Quite simply the play function does not work. Everything looks good. But the song time bar remains at 0. Doesn't move.
Too bad because I wanted an app that would more truly randomize songs from my Apple music on my iPhone, which the Apple shuffle feature fails spectacularly at.

Love the simplicity of this app, it plays music, job done. My only criticism is I would like to be able to play albums in track order if I choose as sometimes the album calls for it i.e. live album or concept album. Apart from that, love it

Works like it says it does. Just wanted a simple way to change songs as I’m driving. Does that!

Excellent simple music player
This is just what I've been looking for! I've tried lots of music apps - and I've found this to be the best for the music stored on my iPod. And best of all is the Shake to Shuffle feature which Apple no longer have in their app.
