About

Play — Find Friends and Play Sport Play is a sports social network that connects athletes in the real world. Swipe through nearby players, match with people who share your sport, and organise real matches — all in one app. DISCOVER PLAYERS Browse player cards showing sports, skill levels, and location. Swipe right to connect, left to pass. When two players match, a direct message thread opens instantly. Filter by sport, gender, age group, skill level, city, or distance. Search any player by name, username, or city. Supported sports: Padel, Tennis, Basketball, Football, Running, Cycling, Swimming, Netball, Rugby, Cricket, Golf, Boxing, Pickleball, and Table Tennis. PLAYER PROFILES Every profile shows a photo, sports and skill tiers (Rookie, Mid, Elite, Pro), win/loss stats, recent fixtures, looking-for tags, and a bio. View any player's profile to message them, challenge them to a fixture, or share their profile. Your Mates list gives quick access to all your connections. FIXTURES Create fixtures by selecting a sport, opponents, and a date. Requests must be accepted before confirming. After playing, submit a result — the opponent confirms or disputes it. Confirmed results update each player's record and league standings. No-show reporting is supported, with automatic point deductions applied. LEAGUES Run organised competitions for players or teams. Set sport, format (individual or team), skill level, gender, age group, and cap. Leagues include live standings (points, W/L/D, no-shows), a full fixture schedule, rules, and a group chat. Admins manage members, approve join requests, and can transfer admin to another player. TEAMS Form teams before entering leagues or group fixtures. Each team has a profile, roster, fixture history, and a built-in group chat visible to all members. Search and join open teams, or invite players directly. MESSAGING One inbox for all conversations — direct matches, team chats, and league chats — sorted by latest activity. Unread dots appear on individual chat rows and a live badge on the nav icon counts all unread messages and new matches. A notifications tab handles fixture requests, result confirmations, league and team invites, and admin transfers — all with inline action buttons. PROFILE & SETTINGS Your profile shows your player card, stats, and recent fixtures. Edit your photo, bio, sports, skill levels, location, and preferences at any time. Full dark and light theme support. Play is where sport gets social.
