This fills an infuriatingly bad workflow by Apple for simply listening to content offline on the Apple Watch. Works well for me, transfer isn’t super fast but playback is including over AirPods.

This app is one of the only apps for watch that has local music and video support better then Apple Music and TV and album sorting and sequential listing based on “file name” rather than just. “Track title”.
It even syncs with Apple Music or not it’s your choice !
This developer also listens to user feedback.
Also this developer makes a great epic epub app for watch too!
I would use this instead apples default junk due to the VLC nature of the app.
Get this app it’s the best music video player on watchOS.

Bei dem Versuch 20 kleine m4b Dateien auf die Uhr zu syncen wurden über 8 Stunden 5 davon übertragen. Danach passiert nichts mehr. Auch über Nacht wird nichts übertragen. Das war eine komplette Geld Verschwendung. Würde gerne null Sterne geben.

Doesn’t work for video from ios photos
I’m trying to transfer a 500MB video from ios photos app, and it never transfers to the watch, even when the loading circle stops, nothing shows on the watch. Even using the compression function to get it down to less than 200MB, the video still will not transfer to the watch, even after 48 hours.
Transferring the same file via a Mac through the files interface for an iphone in finder, does work.

Exactement ce que je cherchais. Parfait pour sa musique offline.
A music player that can’t play your music in the order you want to hear it in!
This would be a great app if I could actually listen to my music in the order I want it in. It’s either ascending, date, or file size. This makes no sense.
Lacks folder support
Almost there! Please add folder support for larger music collections. Otherwise really good app!

음악 제목을 자유롭게 편집할 수 있도록 해줬으면 좋겠어요.
아이폰 파일에 들어가서 원하는 음악 파일을 이 앱으로 공유하면 아이폰 파일에 저장되어 있는 제목으로 나오는게 아니라 원래 파일 이름(이름 바꾸기 전 파일명)으로 자동 바뀌어요. 그래서 저는 음악 파일 제목을 원래 파일명말고 이름 바꾼 파일명으로 음악 파일을 추가하고 싶어요. 예를 들면 (기존 파일명: 시크릿 - 별빛달빛 [가사/Lyrics] >> 파일 이름을 바꾸었을 때 <수정된 파일명>: 시크릿 - 별빛달빛 🌟💖🌕) 기존 파일명이 마음에 들지 않아서 원하는 파일명으로 이름을 바꾸고 싶은 것 뿐인데 그걸 아직도 지원하지 않는다는 것이 너무 아쉽습니다. 즉 제 말은 음악 파일을 이 앱에 추가해서 애플워치로 전송하면 원래 파일명(위 예처럼 파일을 수정해도 수정하기 전 원래 파일명으로 노래 제목이 나옴.)으로 노래 제목이 나와서 상당히 불편합니다. 빠른 시일 내로 원래 파일명말고 이름을 바꾼 파일명(수정 및 편집된 파일명)이 노래 제목으로 나올 수 있게 새로운 기능을 추가해주셨으면 좋겠습니다.

Best $4 ever spent. One of, if not, the only app out there that allows playback of both music AND video through the watch speakers.
The best part? It supports watch OS 8! Meaning that even the older watches get to benefit from this.

While the use of apple music is very buggy and not able to handle larger file collections, this app put the fun back in playing my songs on the watch.

能不能在手表端添加一个自定义移动歌曲与视频顺序得功能啊？每次传完文件后 在手表上只能凭借文件混乱的上传顺序翻来翻去 又不能调顺序 现有的排序只能按照日期大小之类的排 没有任何自定义空间 能自定义排序的只有歌单顺序 着实看不下去了 希望能早日改进

Update months later: I still love this app! I have lots of music on my watch. Couldn’t be happier.
I really dislike having to add mp3s to the Apple Music app then transfer them to the music app on the watch. Simply too many steps. This Player for Watch app is amazing game changer. I can transfer music from my Dropbox and google drive to the app, then let the app move it to my watch. Transfer is fast and stable. The app on the watch is simple and has big buttons to hit while exercising. It also integrates with the workout app on the watch—left swipe brings up the music player and the controls there will change songs playing on this app. I haven’t tested the video yet. Overall I love this app, best money I’ve spent on a watch app. ONE TIP: if the app on the phone doesn’t sync with the watch, restart both the phone and the watch, and syncing will happen.
