Stolen money
As a first-time PlayNow customer, my experience has been very disappointing.
I placed a soccer wager believing that “Spain to Win” referred to the outcome of the match. I later learned that PlayNow settles standard soccer wagers after 90 minutes unless otherwise stated. While this rule exists in the terms and conditions, I did not see a clear warning at the point where I placed and confirmed my bet. A condition that completely changes the outcome of a wager should be presented prominently on the bet slip before customers commit their money.
I also attempted to select a market that included extra time and penalty shootouts, but the app would not allow me to combine that selection with my other bets. That issue was never meaningfully addressed during my complaint.
Customer support responded politely, but after several emails I felt that my specific concerns were not fully investigated. I was told there was no technical issue, yet PlayNow could not confirm whether the warning banner was actually displayed to my device during my betting session.
To make matters worse, my account later showed a remaining balance of approximately $35 for several days before unexpectedly displaying $0.00. I have asked for an explanation and am still waiting for a satisfactory response.
This review reflects my personal experience. I expected better transparency, better communication, and a more thorough investigation into the issues I raised. Until those concerns are properly addressed, I cannot recommend the app.

App not working
App keeps saying it needs to update and won’t work.
Too many issues
App broken again, been using PlayNow 4 or 5 years and it’s slowly been getting better catching up with the times. But now update is not working and you can’t use app until it’s updated lol. What a joke.

Says I need to update to use, but there’s no update. Chat in to customer service, agent was useless. Remind me again why I should use this?!

Your app is down and your system to report the issue is a joke!! You can do much better at costumer service. Please fix the app!

Trying to launch the app and get a “A new version of the app is available - Update” pop up… but no actual option to update it in the app store! What sort of people do you have working for you? Not even some basic testing before releasing it into production???

Hire better developers and fix the authentication module
It’s embarrassing how bad the location detection and authentication module is for the app. The website login is buggy too but the app login is just horrible!
Worst app
I made a bet that was for 100$ and as I was gonna cash out a 1000$. They kicked me out of the app and told me I had exceeded my time limit on the app so I wasn’t able to cashout. Absolute joke of a betting site

Tried making an account and mid way through taking pictures of my ID it restarted the whole process again. Fix your app wtf

Atrocious app
Probably the worst sportsbook app I’ve ever seen in my life, not sure what the devs are doing with the “minor bug fixes” but the whole app needs a rewrite. Even 1 star is extremely generous. Seriously terrible app.
Good sports betting app
Especially good for beginner sports bettors but still fine for the experienced better. Been with Playnow ever since they made a sports book for mobile. Lots of promotions and lots to bet on. Really good for fans of local teams (Canucks, Lions, Goldeneyes, whitecaps, Ravens & Abbotsford Canucks). Lots of boosts and promotions for the local teams.
After being with playnow a couple years I have been getting bonus bets gifted almost monthly.. usually a $25 free bet and sometimes a $50 free bet. Also randomly get free bets every now and again worth $10 or $20 from different playnow social apps(insta/Facebook/Twitter). Usually with a note thanking me for betting local.
Good customer service as well.
Only minor complaints I have is deposits and withdrawals were a headache to figure out. But with experience I’ve got it figured. Other complaint would be odds aren’t always = to some other sportsbooks, especially if your trying to buy points against the spread or goals Vs the puck line.
But for the most part I’ve enjoyed using playnow and will continue too! I would definitely recommend and have recommended it to multiple family members and friends in the past.

Brutal app
Login issues constantly, bet slip issues, ridiculous 2FA requirements, worse odds than other apps, terrible cash out options…they really didn’t get anything right on this one…
Most pages won’t load
This app is almost completely unusable. I’d much rather bet here on PlayNow but the app has been basically unusable for the last couple of years and it’s unbelievable that the developers haven’t done anything to improve it.

worst sporting bet app ever.
Registered using email. Playnow sends mail on my email. Next day when trying to login, I can’t. I click on forgot username. They ask me to provide either email or username. I provided the email through which I registered with playnow. The same email in which playnow sends me mail. Then the app says it cannot recognize my email. Then why do they send a mail on that email if they cannot recognize my email while I am logging in🤣. A piece of garbage application.

Constant logins
The app requires re-auth at incredible frequency, with 2FA. I normally appreciate 2FA, but the “trusted device” option is useless and having to log back in at least every hour is excessive.
