Somehow works for me

Despite the bad reviews at first, this manages to fulfill my dreams of Apple Music being better than spotify

Crashes on launch

Crashes on launch on my iPhone 13 Pro, fully up to date app and iOS.

I should have read the reviews…

Unfortunately this only works with (downloaded) songs that are in the device’s library. Don’t buy this if you want to use it with Apple Music (streaming).

Wish I could say it worked, but…

…no dice. Installed on both my M1 Mac and iPhone 12 mini, and they’re paired, but…it just doesn’t work. Fails in a few different ways, but I can’t handoff Apple Music between my Mac and iPhone. 😕🤷🏼‍♂️

No longer functional on iOS 15.3/Monterey 12.2

I haven't used PlayOff in a few years but loved how much easier it made it to "handoff" music playing on my iPhone from Apple Music to my Mac since Apple hasn't yet added this functionality to Handoff/Continuity. It looks like the recent Apple Music App overhaul for Monterey 12.2 and/or iOS 15 update broke things sadly. :(

Does not work at all

This app does not work at all with iOS 15 and either MacOS Big Sur or Monterey. You can pair the other device, but no playlist information will sync. As is, this is worthless.

Works well

what would make it a five star app is the abiltiy to send and entire album/playlist between devices. If I'm listening to an album and send the current song to another device I don't want to have to pull the album to keep it playing after the current song ends.

Need a refund - just does not work

This app just does nothing between Macos Big Sur and IOS14.6.
This is a great idea but it just doesn’t work!

Response from developer

Hi! I’m sorry to hear you’re having an issue with the app. Can you shoot me an email at martin@playoffmusic.app to let me know exactly what went wrong?

Does not work

Doesn’t work between iPhone and iPad running iOS 13 or between either of those devices and Mac running macOS 11.1.

Only hands off song in library

Not super useful - should’ve read the other review first.

Doesn’t work - big sur and iOS 14

Either from Mac to iPhone or iPhone to Mac; just says no music playing.

TERRIBLE!

Just made the switch from Spotify to Apple Music. Wanted to be able to continue listening from Mac to phone. Doesn’t connect ... ever. Wish I didn’t waste the money for the app.

Doesn’t work.

App does not work on Big Sur, and based on other reviews didn’t work on Catalina?

Does not work

Does not work, even when using downloaded songs. I want my money back!!!😡

Doesn’t work

Message comes up saying no music playing on device. I cannot recommend this.

Should’ve read the reviews

First app I’ll be asking for a refund. Doesn’t do what is advertised.

Waste of 2.79

Didn’t work for me. Promising idea, poor execution.

Great idea, poorly executed

Does not work as described. Poor user experience with inability to consistently “playoff” between iPhone > Mac and vice versa. Hopefully future releases will address the numerous communication issues/bugs.

Money back please

I downloaded this thinking it would let me handoff whatever I was playing but turns out it only works with songs in library. Definitely not very helpful since 99% of what I play is streamed.

DOES NOT WORK AT ALL, THEY STOLE MY 2 DOLLARS

The apps fail to communicate with each other (2014 MacBook Pro on Mojave and iPhone on Catalina).

I DEMAND A REFUND OR A FIX!!!!
