AUTO DJ, AUDIO VISUALIZER, DOWNLOADS VS CACHE AUTO DJ Never let the music stop: when the play queue runs out, play:Sub keeps it going. Pick a mode - favourite artists, random albums, cached songs, newest additions, artist radio, decade radio and many more - or let Auto DJ draw a fresh strategy for every round. Choose it in Settings, or straight from the play queue menu. "Up Next" on the player screen tells you what is coming. AUDIO VISUALIZER A spectrum analyzer has moved into the player. Swipe past the last player page to find it, with a frequency axis in octaves, peak markers. Not your thing? Turn it off in Settings > User Interface Tweaks > Audio Visualizer. DOWNLOADS AND CACHE ARE NOW TWO DIFFERENT THINGS Downloads are yours to keep: "Keep Offline" downloads stay put until you remove them, and are never removed to make room for something else. The automatic cache still fills and trims itself in the background. ● New: Choose Download or Cache directly from the context menu. ● New: Reorganised "Storage and Caching" settings, with separate Clear Cache, Remove Downloads and Clear All actions. ● New: "Preload Upcoming Tracks" is now configurable, from 1 to 30 tracks. AND THE REST ● New: play:Sub now requires iOS 16. ● New: Context menu for Decades. ● New: The user interface follows along with the freely resizable windows of the newest iOS, iPadOS and macOS. ● Fixed: Random songs and browse lists now respect the active media filter. ● Fixed: Browse lists could get stuck showing nothing after changing the media filter. ● Fixed: The radio station directory is back, and station metadata is parsed correctly again. ● Various other bugfixes and improvements.
