You play Plotta GPS by dropping an anchor at your current location, walking a closed route on real streets, and then returning near your anchor to tap 'Close'. The area within your loop becomes your claimed land, visible on a shared map.
Yes, Plotta GPS is free to play and does not contain advertisements. Optional features are available through Plotta Plus.
Plotta Plus offers a full walk journal with detailed stats like distance, time, and pace, a territory log of land won and lost, and a personalized territory color. These features enhance the game experience but are not required to play.
While the core gameplay relies on GPS to track your location and claim territory, an active internet connection is likely needed to share your claimed land on the map and view leaderboards.
Your raw GPS path remains private. Only the closed land polygons you create are shared on the map, ensuring your detailed movement history is not publicly visible.
Plotta GPS is supported on Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad, allowing for flexible gameplay across different Apple devices.
The latest version, 1.13.0, was released on September 30, 2026, indicating regular updates to improve the game and add new features.
Plotta GPS has an age rating of 4+, making it suitable for a wide range of players.
