Incredible tool for music making
This is a really powerful tool for music making that is available for iPad users. Moreover, I am really amazed that the same version available for free on the desktop is the same one on iPad. This should serve as an example to other plugin developers to follow. Great job, developer!
Won't save files
I spent hours working on a patch, only to find out my saved file was not, in fact, saved. The autosaved file loaded and it was 2 days old. I saved a different file to the same directory and it also did not save, while saying it did. Useless.

Abandoned?
I so want to use this app, but basic functionality isn't working. Saving and Opening files for example doesn't work. Several objects I tried don't work. It crashes often...
Pure data in your pocket
Any time I'm stuck in a waiting room I open this app up and prototype a new idea in plugdata. Love it!

I have been looking for good mobile options to run Pure Data programs for a while and this is definitely the best!
No other apps have the ability to change PD patches on the fly like PlugData.
I tested a Polyphonic MIDI synth I designed and it works perfectly!
That said there are some improvements that I hope will come soon in new updates.
At the moment, abstractions load only when inside the main abstractions folder.
The option exists to create new paths but that doesn’t seem to fully work in this version.
Abstractions don’t load at all when the app is used as an audio unit.
The potential of what can be done in this app is virtually limitless.
This could enable a new paradigm for musicians using mobile apps.

Doesn’t work on some devices
It hangs when I try to open or save a patch on my 2021 iPad.

it obviously needs more work, but having pd on the iphone/ipad is a dream come true
An incredible creative tool
plugdata is an incredible amount of fun. Its interface is elegant and fun to learn, it’s got a huge infrastructure of Pure Data objects behind it, and its development is moving FAST.
I’m super psyched to use it on my iPad now. My Macs and Raspberry Pis aren’t as useful as musical instruments as an iPad running plugdata.
I’m giving five stars because, even though work still needs to be done, it’s developing extremely quickly and responsively. It has incredible polish for a pre-1.0 release, and it gets better literally every day.
