About

You are packing for a trip and there is one thing to settle: which plug goes in the wall, and what voltage comes out of it. PlugsWorld gives you both in a couple of taps, before you leave, with no connection required. Search a country by name and the card gives you the plug type letters it uses, the mains voltage and the frequency in Hz. Tap the card and each of those letters opens into a plain description of the plug itself, the number of pins and their shape, so you can hold it against the adapter in your hand and see whether it fits. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Search 37 countries by name and read the answer on one card. - See the plug type letters, the voltage and the frequency for each country. - Tap a country to open every one of its plug types, described pin by pin. - Read the full type guide, all 15 letters, A through O, in a single list. - Check countries that take more than one plug: 31 of the 37 listed do. - Compare voltage before you pack, from 100V in Japan to 230V across most of Europe. - Use all of it on the plane and in the taxi line, because nothing is downloaded. WHO IT IS FOR Travelers building an adapter kit and trying not to carry six of them. People working abroad who need to know whether a charger will cope with the local mains. Anyone who has landed at one in the morning and found the socket is the wrong shape. PRIVACY PlugsWorld does not collect data. There is no account and no sign-up. The country data ships inside the app, so it makes no network requests and it runs with the connection off. Coverage is 37 countries across Europe, Asia, North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Brazil and South Africa, and every plug letter from A to O. On iPhone and iPad, in light or dark to match your system setting. Voltage and frequency figures are a reference for planning a trip. Check the rating printed on your own charger or device before you plug it in.
