What's New in Plurality

1.7 (43)

August 11, 2026

1.7 is the chat release, with a lot of accessibility work on top of it. CHAT Attach pictures, GIFs and video to a message, several at once. Tap one to open it full size, and pinch to zoom in far enough to read what is actually written on the whiteboard. Attachments stay on your own devices and travel only in your own sync. Retention, if you want it. Set how long messages are kept, and separately how long attachments are kept, on each channel. Off by default. Nothing expires unless you turn it on. Reply to a message, edit one, delete one. Bring your message history over from Simply Plural. The "speaking as" picker is grouped by who is fronting, then who has spoken in this channel lately, then everyone else, with search once your system is large. It no longer guesses: if nobody is fronting, a message posts unattributed instead of being quietly signed by whoever comes first alphabetically. READING AND WRITING Bare links are tappable now, in chat, in member descriptions and in notes. Images sit on the line where you wrote them, an image with no size in its URL keeps its own proportions, and tables render instead of arriving as a wall of pipe characters. Profiles imported from Simply Plural look the way they did there. ACCESSIBILITY Picking a tab now moves the screen reader to that screen. Tab buttons read as one thing instead of three. The tab tray can be rearranged without dragging, which was simply impossible before, because a screen reader takes the swipes for itself. Expanding a section in Settings says what opened, instead of only "expanded" while the content appears somewhere you then have to go and find. Member rows no longer announce a hidden Archive button after every single name, and the fronting actions on a member say who they belong to. Every moving background now describes what it looks like, wherever you pick one. ELSEWHERE Members you have archived are one tap from the Members list. The system map works on phones. History remembers whether you left it on Timeline or List. Sheets and dialogs can rotate on iPad.

User reviews

wonderful app

The app is easy to navigate but also holds the feature of being extremely customizable. it’s easy to fix things and easy to get rid of them, it’s easy to know what’s going on after immediately getting the app, and on the discord the only experiences ive had with the staff they have been very helpful and kind. I really do recommend!!
