⚠️ Think twice before holding CFDs long term
My experience with Plus500 has taught me an expensive lesson.
Around two years ago I opened a Tesla position equivalent to about 3.5 shares at ~$176 each. Tesla subsequently rose to around $369 per share.
However, over the period I held the position, approximately £450 was deducted in charges.
I accept that this was a CFD, rather than direct ownership of Tesla shares. My concern is the extent to which the ongoing financing charges accumulated while I held what I regarded as a long-term investment.
I have raised this with Plus500. To date, they have not offered any refund or compensation; their response has essentially been that the position was a CFD and therefore the charges applied.
That may be contractually correct, but my experience highlights something I think potential customers need to understand very clearly: a CFD is not the same as owning the underlying shares, and holding one for years can result in substantial ongoing charges.
If you’re investing for 5–10 years, read and understand the financing charges before using Plus500 CFDs.
I personally wouldn’t use a CFD for a long-term investment again. I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before putting their money in.

Wow, this exchange app is absolute garbage!! I use a handful of other investment/trading apps, so many are way better than this junk!!
Slow service
Verifying account is super slow, the app always have a glitched. The self updating version is not even working. They offered to do it manually, but they’re asking for ID rather than a client number or something. It’s very strange to be given ID and things just like that.

RIP off stay away
I invested a small amount in what I presumed was shares , the shares doubled in 2 years I lost 1/2 the value of my investment . Their charges are extortionate , stay away if you plan long term investment.

The apps automatically take a order in my account. That is not order by myself and the apps didn’t send any about this transaction massage to me .I contacted Plus500 but couldn’t solved it immediately and this transaction still hold in my account over 8 hours now.I feel my account balance is not safety in that situation. Can I make a complaint or take a legal action.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Plus500. The platform may look simple and professional, but my experience with the company has been frustrating from start to finish.
The customer service is extremely disappointing, and getting clear and helpful answers when you have an issue feels unnecessarily difficult. The account verification and review process has also been stressful and, in my opinion, far too complicated.
What I find most frustrating is the lack of transparency and the feeling that the customer is not being properly supported when problems arise. When you are dealing with your own money, you expect a financial platform to provide clear communication, reliable support, and a straightforward experience.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Plus500 to anyone looking for a platform where they feel properly supported and valued as a customer.

Plus 500 restricted my withdrawal
Plus 500 team asking me to provide something my bank don’t provide. I had to replace my debit card because it was faded and couldn’t upload photo of it. Plus 500 team asked for card statement that Nat west don’t provide. After providing bank statement with clearly indicating from each account and when it was transferred to plus 500 it is still not enough for account verification.

There is no option to open buy sell on the chart screen itself making it convenient to trade, instead it takes you to the home page. Also, this transition is a bit slow for high frequency trading.
