About

Ply is a simple, focused counter for knitting and crochet. Track rows, manage repeats and keep your projects organized without distractions. • Projects - One counter per pattern. Name them, switch anytime and see your current row at a glance. • Rows first, repeats when you need them - Use a simple row counter or turn on repeat tracking and switch between row and repeat on a single screen. • Targets that match your patterns - Set an optional row target or repeat target and follow your progress clearly through each section. • Sections for larger projects - Split a project into parts like sleeves, panels or fronts and track each one independently. • Auto-increase repeat - When a row target is set, optionally advance the repeat automatically when you complete it. Fewer taps, smoother flow. • Apple Watch - Fast, simple controls for knitting on the go. Use it alongside your iPhone or on its own. • Widgets & complications - Check and adjust your latest project from the Home Screen or open it instantly from your Lock Screen or watch face. • Private by design - No account required. No ads. No tracking. A calm, reliable counter, built for the rhythm of knitting. Open, tap, knit.

What's New in Ply

1.1

May 17, 2026

This update brings a friendlier first launch and a flexible way to split bigger projects into parts. • Welcome tour - a short walkthrough explains rows, repeats, and auto-advance the first time you open Ply. • Project sections - split a single project into named parts you track separately (think sleeves, body, collar). Existing projects can convert in place: move their current progress into a new section or start the section fresh. Sections sync between iPhone and Apple Watch alongside the rest of your projects. • Cleaner counter mechanics - rows now count completed rows in the current repeat, starting at 0 and ticking up to 1 on your first tap. When auto-advance is on, hitting your row goal lands on the goal as a milestone; the next tap rolls into the new repeat. You can also tap minus past zero to step back into the previous repeat. Rapid taps across rollovers now count reliably. • Support Ply - a new "Leave a rating" link in Settings if you'd like to support the app on the App Store. Thanks for knitting with Ply.
