Getting started actually works now • Downloading a model survives real life. Lock your phone, switch apps, or walk out of Wi-Fi range and the download carries on and picks up where it stopped, instead of silently dying and starting again from zero. • We check you have room before a download starts, and if something does go wrong the app now tells you what went wrong instead of "something went wrong". • Pocket AI picks the best model your device can actually run, and says why — "your iPhone has 8 GB, this is the most capable model that fits". Models that need more memory are still listed, clearly marked, so you can see what a bigger device would give you. • Setup no longer says "You're all set" when nothing was installed. If a model did not load, it says so and offers to try again. • No model yet? The chat screen says so, instead of looking ready and doing nothing when you tap Send. Buying Pro • The price on the upgrade screen is the real price. • The Upgrade button no longer gets stuck when the App Store is slow to answer — it retries, and tells you if it cannot reach it. • Changing your mind is not an error any more. Cancelling used to pop up "something went wrong and you weren't charged", which was alarming and untrue. Daily Brief, sharper • The summary line at the top now counts today only. It was adding yesterday's meetings to today's total, so a clear day could open with "you have 10 events today" while the list below correctly said your calendar was empty. • Refresh, New brief and Sources moved to the top of the brief. A brief is longer than a screen, so they used to sit below the fold — out of reach at exactly the moment you wanted them. • Open a brief from an earlier day and Refresh is highlighted, with a line telling you which day you are looking at. Tap it and you see the brief being rebuilt, then today's. • Smaller models no longer get a "use a bigger model" warning printed across the brief. Your calendar, reminders and mail are read directly, whatever model you have — only the one opening sentence uses one at all. • Tapping the 8 AM reminder builds that morning's brief instead of reopening yesterday's. Also • A new app icon. • On iPad the layout is centred instead of stretched. • The new-conversation screen is calmer. As always: the model runs on your iPhone. Your chats never leave it.
