front camera only??
Opening the app, it only uses the front facing camera. There is no option to turn it around.
Excellent- But..
Gives excellent readings comparable to handheld light meters. Shame that the last update causes the app to freeze if you navigate away from it. The solution is to simply switch from front to rear camera and vice-versa. Then all back working.

Needs a bug update.
It’s a great, simple to use app and I’ve been using it for years. However, there’s a bug which causes the app to freeze and not respond to light changes (what is worse is that it is not obvious as the app seems to work normal, so it can lead to completely wrong readings). I hope it gets updated soon. It tends to happen when the front facing camera is used (not sure if also present when main camera is used).

In settings you should be able to set an Aperture min and max setting. Also a Time min and max setting.

Problem with app
App works well until phone goes to sleep and you open it back up. Then doesn’t work. Means I have to close and reopen the app every time I use it.
Then best light meter APP
I have used this app for many yet, tried other APPs, this is so far the best I have tried.
Update works on iOS 18.3.1 on iPhone 14 Pro!

iOS18.3でフリーズ
iphone15proで使用。1/48などのcine speedが使えるので動画用として重宝していましたがiOS18.3にアップデートしたら、起動後5秒くらいでフリーズします。

Love this App BUT..
I'm experiencing a problem where the app suddenly freezes when I try to meter a spot for more than four seconds. I added this feature as a shortcut using the action button on both my iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, and I'm encountering the same issue on both devices. I would appreciate the opportunity to share my experience in more detail.

What happened?
The app keeps hanging with the latest IOS. There’s been no updates in 5 years so I guess the app is dead?

It was a five star app but after upgrading to iOS 18 it freezes every time.

This used to be fabulous but has not been updated in years and stalls constantly under iOS 18. Seems to no longer be supported.
Fantastic but slowing with age
I’ve been using this app to expose all types of film on old cameras for years and it’s always been very accurate. On new iPhone 15 Pro updates it’s getting frozen quite a bit. Hopefully the developer will update it again
Replaces my Sekonic Spot Meter, until iOS 18 broke it.
Best light meter app I have found. It calibrates spot on and has since replaced my Sekonic L588. I shoot MF film on a regular basis and this app serves as meter, colour meter, digital proof and log book. I find it the most indispensable app, and one of the most used apps on my Apple devices.
And then iOS 18 wreaked havoc on my apps! PLM still operates, but it locks the screen after about six seconds. I find that switching to selfie mode then back to front camera gives me another six seconds of usefulness.
