Pocket Prep helped as an additional resource when studying for my SHRM-CP exam. I enjoyed the missed questions and weakest subject sections. The ability to see alternative questions from my Online SHRM resources helped with a great variety of questions. This is the perfect resource when traveling or on lunch break. I would highly recommend to anyone preparing for their exam.

CHST Exam Prep

Had a Good Experience.
Couldn’t afford the study guide so I bought a bunch of other study guides from Amazon. I purchased pocket prep the day before my exam and got a 92% on the mock exam and that gave me the confidence boost I needed to pass. I had a good experience and recommend.
Failed the exam
I did all 2000 questions until I got them right. I thought I had a solid baseline how the processes, organizations, etc. but I think I fell into the trap of memorizing questions instead of workflows. Really frustrating knowing I spent hours upon hours for 2-4 months studying with pocket prep. Will not be using it for my second attempt for my test.

Got a 93% on my mock exam, failed the actual exam. Questions on pocket prep are nothing like the actual exam.

I struggle with tests but I know a BIG reason I was able to pass my test is due to the question structure used in Pocket Prep.

Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
Loved this format to supplement reading the book. Pocket prep was easy to use and produced insightful questions on the subject matter! The exam is still Difficult but the app helped identify obscure vocabulary that I wouldn’t have remembered otherwise, along with helping internalize a wide range of processes.

The daily questions, explanations, and ability to practice in small pockets of time made it easy to stay consistent. I used it alongside my other study materials, but this was the tool that really helped reinforce concepts and get me thinking the right way for the exam.
The explanations are clear, and the repetition helps with pattern recognition, which is huge when you’re under pressure on test day.
If you’re serious about passing, this is definitely worth it. I canceled my subscription after I was done, but it absolutely served its purpose.

Took SHRM SCP. Have 12 years of HR experience. Studied using only PocketPrep and Claude. Did all the questions on PocketPrep, made sure I understood the gimmicks of the SHRM testing format, and did one mock exam. Studied for 1 week - took exam today and passed. Great app for great price.

Helpful study tool for 2025 CMP
I used PocketPrep’s 3mo option to study for the new CMP (updated August 2025). I have worked in the events industry for about a decade but much of the terminology used in the exam is pretty specific to the CMP, and the Manual is quite dense. PocketPrep’s quizzes and questions were well structured, quick, and relevant to the actual exam, I think more so than the paid practice exams offered by the EIC. The simple, easy to navigate layout and bite sized quiz options made it easy to hop in for a few minutes here and there when I didn’t have time for a dedicated study session. I could also spend hours in the app if I wanted to grind, especially in the days before the test. This was especially helpful because I self managed my studies. The Level Up quizzes were the best resource leading up to the exam itself because of the way it repeated missed questions to reinforce weak concepts. All in all, a helpful and effective study tool for the CMP. I would recommend to candidates who are self-managing their studies or want a daily/regular resource to stay fresh. Thanks PocketPrep!
