Save your money, use test prep booklet instead.

prepping T6, electronics. 50-questions only on this subject. Wrote support team asking specifically on T6 questions and was told there are 400 questions. Liars! Only 50-electrical questions…not worth the money.

Great study tool, missing full coverage on topics

Used this to prep for the A6, ASE; was great for multiple choice but missing the actual covered questions like wire diagram related questions that also touched alternator and battery repair.

Passed ASE L2

Just purchased one month to cram for my test. The convenience of using my phone, the question of the day, daily quiz and weak subject matter helped me to become more confident doing the test. Printing off a copy of the L2 composite vehicle is a must because 70% of the questions say to refer to it. The actual L2 was a bit trickier, REALLY need to pay attention to the little details in the questions. They are all clues to get to the correct answer. Pocket prep L2 made you go a layer or two deep to get to the correct question, the actual test had me going 3 to 4. Very happy with the app and my results.

Essential Tool for Exam Success

This app has been amazing in helping me practice for my exams. The questions are well structured, and the explanations make complex topics easier to understand. I feel like I’ve learned so much more using this app, and my confidence has grown tremendously. It’s a must have tool for anyone preparing for plumbing, electrical, or ASE certifications. Highly recommend!

Not a Single question on this app was on my test not even close to be honest. Waste of money and time

Needs way more schematic questions!

Almost every ASE test has schematic questions and this app needs to add a lot more of those.

To little info

This study guide only gives you 30 to 40 questions for exams that contain up to 100 questions. Don’t waist your time or money

It is a pretty good app but questions don’t change wish they had a few more questions plus a diagram scheme question depicting components and questioning functions in reference to depictions passed 3 out of the 4 I took using this app and delmar books but the hvac side has a lot of depictions questions so got me threw off a little they only have 45 hvac questions in this app and feel should be a little more

Missing info

Some questions are missing important info such as what system the question is referring to. Example: What fluid pressure should be at idle without indicating that the question is about transmission hydraulic system pressure.

Only premium version is useful

The free version of this app is the same 20 questions over and over with endless prompts to upgrade.

Would love to rate higher, but they’re price gouging now

This used to be a different app all together and I paid for the premium version to have the best chance at my tests. Then they made a new app and cut the ability to use the old app. Now im order to use the testing capabilities I used to have, I have to pay a huge monthly fee. Just another company forcing people to pay more and more. Its very sad because this WAS a good app.

Waste of time and money

I wasted my time studying all these questions for my ASE T8 exam. when i took the test I didn’t even see one question I studied for. Don’t waste your money and just buy the book. Wasted a lot of time and money. Just buy the book and do it the right way. They developer should return my money and pay for my exam fee. This app is a scam! Beware! The book has the questions on test…

Hi there! Reading your updated review it looks like your expectation of the app was that it would have the same questions as the real exam so you could memorize them and pass. Please, note that we have never advertised that Pocket Prep questions are the same as the ones on the exam, in fact, Pocket Prep advocates the opposite! We recommend that you do not look for resources that claim to have real exam questions as there is no legal way of acquiring those. You said it best - "do it the right way". Pocket Prep questions are built to assist you in your studies and using a book along with our app is a great idea.

Composite vehicle questions with no composite vehicle booklet

App tests you on the composite vehicle but does not provide you with the booklet. This can be frustrating

Not worth the money

This app does not allow you to review the questions you got wrong .
You will not learn anything from this app.

Passed my L1 thanks to this

Honestly the L1 is a open book test for half of it. If you are a diagnostic tech it will all make sense. But this app was great to study the questions at least. You will need a copy of the composite vehicle when using this app just like the real test.

If using this for ASE L3, stay away

I have been using this app and the test bank has nothing in common with the ASE L3 test I took this morning. I was testing 93 to 95 percent with this app. Also there are a few questions that didn’t make any sense. I am cancelling my subscription.

🙋‍♂️ are typically challenging 😰 yet variety of reductive relationship are broad minded and yet information ℹ️ of correct information ℹ️ is perfect 🤩 I find the free version are limited to specifics that are not typically found in schooling.
