It has been amazing how many times I’ve turned to this app to make sure I’m teaching the skill on the sign properly.
Helpful videos
The videos are helpful, but there is an updated and amended regulations and guidelines on the AKC site dated August 12, 2025. It would be more helpful if your guidelines were updated to the current ones. There are significant changes.

Great resource
This app is a wonderful resource. I use to prepare for competitions. And I use it at competitions as a reminder of what is required at each sign.
Improved Confidence
I'm new to rally and this app is great! I've used it to learn the signs, to practice and to review before going into the ring. The videos are well done and very clear.
A Great Rally-O App
I used this App all the time while competing in Rally. I have been a Rally steward at many AKC shows. Stewards are not allowed to give competitors advice as this is considered training so when a handler would ask me about a specific sign when I posted the maps, my answer was always to download this App. It’s fantastic!

I have only just started using Pocket Rally and I love it! The sign reference includes videos of how to execute all of the signs which is great. You also have quick access to the official AKC sign demonstrations from the "Treat Bag" area of the app. From there just click on the YouTube Video links button. You can set up favorites, design mini courses, access the full (and current) AKC Rally Regulations book, generate random signs by level and so much more! Definitely worth 1.99! This app is kept up to date and the programmer was very responsive to my landscape mode request.

I’m just getting started in Rally and this app has been great. Nice to always have a reference right in your pocket and the videos are great. Can’t wait to try out some of the new features!

Perfect!
I’ve tried a few rally apps and this one is the best by far. I love the different modes for practicing signs (audio callouts and the flash card mode are perfect). The videos added are a nice touch too.
Great for students during COVID-19
I like that it is mostly kept updated. Explains signs well, and use it to give homework for stodebts.

I’ve used this app since Ruthann first told me about it when it was first made available. ALL of my students downloaded it as well. We check the descriptions carefully during lessons and they learn so much from the videos! I wouldn’t mind an update with a self-course construction feature and would gladly pay for it. I would also love to see different size dogs do some of the exercises, especially at the Master level.

Essential tool for Rally
Most of the handlers and also the judges cannot remember the details of all the exercises. But a memory slip can cost 10 points. I have by now 2 RACH titles and I still take with me Pocket Rally to every trial.
Wishing for a bit more
I like the app and videos. I wish the app allowed me to save or tag signs I am working on. I wish I could save the practice course I design after each lesson for further review during the week. I wish I could search by number or name of sign and not need to know the level the sign is from. Otherwise it’s a great app!
