Why

You made one of the best mobile games into a slop game you ruined this whole game I would give 0 star if I could bring back the old game

Should’ve left it alone

The first one was way better than this. I wish developers would quit acting broke and rewriting the previous game into the new one when the new one ends up being better than the new product

Impossible to complete sets

No access to arena.

I loved the original version but it was only updating for android devices, so I gave up. I recently started the new version, but it’s incredibly frustrating that you can’t earn certain characters after the event—specifically, the pursuit of dreams characters. Also, the zoom is clumsy.

The old version was better

This new version is just garbage! I was excited to get this game back when I got my new phone but then I get hit with levels?! And no clue what I do! Out of all the games I loved this one went down hill like the rest… full of ads trying to force you into spending money to get rid of them! Adding shards because they want you to waste more money on stamina! Its ridiculous

Tried to at least be positive

It really is just bad compared to the old version, and I miss it so much. I played that game for almost four years straight. And now it’s just ads and overstimulating stuff. I used to feel genuinely relaxed with it too

Don’t waste your time

Just like everyone else, I played the old version of this game and loved it! With this new version, there’s more ad’s then game, and after each level you have to watch an ad to unlock a level! So basically it’s 90% ad and 10% game play.

你们游戏策划有脑子吗

不止一次了 上次二月也是,本来天数就少,每日打卡任务放锦标赛,点开锦标赛一看今日无锦标赛。2月打卡都没完成。今天又来这出。策划动动脑子成吗?

bad feeling factor within the game

It used to be a great game, but ever since they replaced the designer with an idiot, it’s become a complete mess: extremely frequent ads, a nonsensical rating system, a chaotic in-game currency setup, meaningless competitions, and ugly character designs. It has completely strayed from the original 3D puzzle experience that made it enjoyable in the first place.

Miss the old version :(

I used to have so much fun with the older game and was excited when it relaunched, only for it to be plagued with ads and I couldn’t make progress without watching MORE ads or grinding for those fairy things??? What a letdown

To much ads

You can turn of wifi go on airplane mode there is always ads every time i click somthing there is a ad fix it

Adverts galore

I paid to “remove ads” but the game still forces you to watch adverts every other level! Definitely NOT worth the money I paid!

Decent overall game

Too many ads!!

A money hungry loss of a great game

This game was amazing as a kid, I’d play it on my iPad on every roadtrip we’d go on. I’d delete the app and redownload it so I could replay levels starting from the beginning from how much I loved it.

Now here I am returning to this game, corporate greed has left it as a hollow shell that echoes a game long gone. Not only is it worse than original it’s not even halfway decent.

Truly this game is terrible if you want to follow a candy crush style level system, and watch ads before and after a short puzzle be my guest. The original taught me about architecture of all sorts which this one does too, but it’s so deformed it doesn’t feel nearly as potent.

This game used to be above competition far superior than anything else, now it is the dregs of 3d puzzle games.

This likely won’t be seen but if a Minmax employee is reading this please fix it. Yes your company may make more money now but it has lost all faith I once had. Even sell the og game as a $5 premium version, no doubt you’ll remedy some of the pain you’ve caused.

But I’ll just say Minmax is a great example of how a charming indie studio can be overtaken by greed.

Do better…

Go back to the Old Version

The 1.0 was wayyy more enjoyable than the game in it’s current state. Too many ads and unnecessary other popups to worry about compared to original. I don’t know why the developers felt the need to make the game so grindy, but it’s been a massive disappointment since the update. I loved building the dioramas but this disappoints me.

It’s not bad but it could be better

I liked how easy and fun the original version was, all of the additional parts in this new version were not needed. I still just play it as if it was the original but it’s a bit annoying with the whole ‘You need drawings of level #’ thing.

Additionally, I have three stars on every other level but I cannot get three stars on 9-6 for the life of me and I’ve done it at least 20 times by this point. Both fast and accurate and I still cannot ace it. It’s kind of unaesthetic to see a bunch of three stars and a random one star so if you could try to fix that level because I no longer think it’s me making mistakes on it anymore.

In summary, I think the original was way better than this new update, but as I said, it’s not horrible. And please, please, please fix level 9-6 because it’s really aggravating me.

Older version was better

I liked this app for a while but deleted it when my storage was full. Redownloaded it expecting it to be at least somewhat the same, maybe a UI update but generally the same. It had so many ads. I had at least 4 in a single level that would’ve taken me 5 minutes to complete but instead took almost 10. The fairy as a tutorial guide is a dumb idea to add to a game that is so straightforward gameplay wise. Power ups are also dumb because it’s a puzzle game. Why would you need a power up in a puzzle game? Even the puzzles themselves are bad. Used to be cute and creative. There’d be events to celebrate something with exclusive themed levels. Now it’s generic. I felt like I was playing a slop game that you see on Instagram or something.

Purchasing “remove ads” doesn’t help

I never leave reviews, but I’m so sad at what this app has become that I feel obliged to. I used to play this years ago and loved the simple, cozy, and even educational aspects it had. I recently re-downloaded it, and was hit with very long, unskippable ads that made playing unenjoyable.

I wanna note that the app pretty quickly pushes you to buy an add-on that supposedly removes these ads. I happily bought it, but unfortunately there are still a ton of “optional” ads. I say “optional” because the game mechanics forces you to watch ads if you want to play at any sort of reasonable pace.

Let me explain: Essentially you have to use a certain amount of “stamina” to play any one level. You get stamina by watching ads, or waiting for the stamina bar to fill up over time. This slightly annoyed me, having bought the add-on — but I thought, “fine, I’ll wait and do a few levels a day.” A reasonable pace, no?

The trick is, you also have to gamble this stamina in order to get “shards” to unlock the next level, before you can actually play it. If this sounds confusing that’s because, well, it is!

What this all means though is that you have to wait potentially days(!) just to play a *single* level. This isn’t a reasonable pace. Of course, the alternative is that you can watch a ton of “optional” ads and gain more stamina that way.

Today I decided to try that, as I still hadn’t gotten enough “shards” to move forward despite checking over many hours. And guess what? It took roughly 10 ads for me to get enough shards to finally play the next puzzle. That’s nearly 30 minutes… of ads!

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind some ads, especially in free games — developers need to eat, too! But I paid $5 to remove ads, and here I am watching ads!

For what it’s worth I would’ve paid $10 or even $15 to remove all ads. But unfortunately this is an app that uses ads as an essential currency. You can only avoid them so long before you hit a serious wall and can go no further.

2 stars: 1 because building itself is fun (when you actually get to do it); and 1 because I’m glad they kept the music from the original version of the game. It’s very soothing

I hope the devs see this review and reconsider the way they approach their apps. There is a less scummy way to make money than this - and that is by investing in the experience of the game, rather than demolishing it.

Too many ads

Way too many ads. I had the original app years ago and it never had this many.
