System voice TTS not available
Despite the voice selection menu specifically saying that you can “pick a system voice — those are always available.” They aren’t available. Please fix.
Best App for local ai on IOS, one thing.
Best app out there for local AI. huggingface integration is flawless. The only thing I ask is for there to be a way to allow web search when supported. Other than that, it's perfect. Easy to use and truly free.
Would be 5 stars if everything was labeled for VoiceOver
Please add VoiceOver accessibility. Button elements need labeling. Blind users deserve to be able to use this.

Does not Learn
Pretty pointless really. loading a model ? What for ? the model is stuck at its primary training level executions. Import & Export Chat session's ? What for ?, the LLM cannot access them, so this local AI, is unable to grow with the user. Practise with a local AI ? what for, it would be like talking to someone, that immediately forgets everything talked about. Might be interesting for a very short time.

I dont want it, it heavily slows down the response time.
Honestly one of the best but unreadable text
Out of all the apps I’ve been experimenting with on iOS for gguf models this is one of the best but the text formatting is terrible. There’s no bold, no italics or fonts. Also no line breaks or double spacing just endless run on sentence unreadable output.
I’d really prefer this over most other stuff but that part is very frustrating. Please fix

I’d like to see haptic feedback as an option and landscape mode could use some help. Otherwise it’s perfect.
Good but missing an important feature
It’s really great of an app, I use it daily but it needs to make it so that it automatically delete any older messages in the chat when the context gets too big. I’m tired of having to start a new chat everyone I’m close to 8k context, and would prefer if the system automatically removed older chat messages in the conversation memory-that way it’s ongoing.

This is a good app for local ai with easy access to hugging face . The user interface is reliable and clean looking . The addition of high quality voices is an important addition also . In the text box you also have the option to add photos into the chat . What I would like to see in the future is for an option for internet search and file uploads . Cheers .

Just works as you need it
I haven’t noticed anything broken in my tinkering, which sounds like a low bar, but literally any other app i tried that offers this service has too many issues. This being open source, and being free on a platform like ios where you could very easily charge for this, is unbelievably amazing
Bugs, Text Format, and Overall Usage
This app is a great free app to experiment with custom models. There are major bugs with using the new Gemma 4 leading to crashes and app instability. The way the Ai formats text is not visible in some cases. Overall use is fine for small models, but for larger models it is not a good experience because of IOS ram restrictions.

After testing half a dozen local LLM apps, I’m sticking with PocketPal. The freedom to download any model you want and the tiny footprint are unmatched and the frequent updates ensure the newest models actually run. Thanks for making it!

Beautiful UI, Great model support. I want to make heavy use in my shortcuts. The dev should simplify shortcut support. It’s very useful but shouldn’t require set up. I feel it should be streamlined and straight forward to get responses from models in shortcuts if you’re gonna implement it.
