A Shreddy Chuggers Paradise
I’m really enjoying the Express Black. I’m a two decades long user of Line 6 products. I still own a POD 2.0 and still a fan of the form factor. No screens to get lost in, turn knobs until it sounds good. Just like an amp. The app is clean and simple. I like that about it. I would like to see type C charging for tablets when plugged in. Most musicians have an iPad in front of them during a gig and quite often they forget or don’t have time to charge it. Adding charging to the port solves this issue. Also I would like to see amp model scrolling added to the foot switch command blocks. The ability to cycle / audition amp models while keeping hands on the guitar would be gold. Aside from that I’d say this thing is a home run! These are a great and extremely affordable way to enter the Helix ecosystem. The amp models in the Express Black is a shreddy chuggers paradise!

Needs fixing
Can’t get it to settings says default preset. I just opened this app doing the same as catalyst edit.
Bass Pod
Any idea when you’re gonna get the bass pod feature ?
Hidden Gem
I really love the Pod Express as a songwriting and rehearsal tool that doesn’t distract me with 100s of options and sounds (my HxStomp is my live rig). The desktop edit app was the initial efficiency unlock for me but having access to this on my phone is genius. Really easy to use. And whether I want to dial in a new practice tone for either acoustic or electric this fits the bill. Another winner from Lone 6 - keep it up.

Affordable tones and interface
Easy to use. Killer tones with a real plug and play feel. Straight to a device or tablet and whatever daw you want to use. Needs a tuner in the app. Does have one on the unit itself.
A good start
It’s a 3.75 rating I’d say it needs the ability to not be a usb interface, because if you have it hooked up to your iPad through a hub, and also have your interface hooked up, your daw, in m case Loopy Pro won’t allow you to pick your actual interface, this one takes over. Needs to also have daw tempo sync so you can time align your delay on the nit with your daw. But a good start.

SUPER
super super ! ! Thank you line 6 ! !
Great tool
Great that I can now model my pod express with an app. Without it everything is quite cumbersome.
The app is user friendly and really easy to understand.
The only thing I am missing is a pitch shifter - if there is a bit of processing power left in the pod express his could be added with a software update.

Working great
Thank you, Line 6 for the editor!
It's working well, and I am thrilled over the extended editing parameters for amps and effects. I LOVE tremolo, but without the editor, I could not find a way to make the tremolo mono-I don't like it panning in every preset.
As for legibility, sure, it could be a bit brighter, but at least on my iPad Pro, it's not bad at all. The controls react well, pretty much exactly as you'd expect.
This editor is a game changer for the usability of the POD EXPRESS 👍🏻🎛

Form before function
Line6 spends too much time trying to make their apps look cool, and sacrificing usability/readability. All text used in the app is tiny and there is hardly any contrast. The computer screen is capable of so much more, why do you pretend it is some limited interface where you need to turn knobs with a mouse … let me enter precise number values … I have a whole keyboard.

Line 6 Pod Express Bass
Unit works as described, the chromatic tuner has no identifiable key you are tuning bc there is no indicator on the pedal or in the app and as a standalone pedal, not very useful on the fly in a live situation. The express edit app will only work out of the box after you update the firmware to 2.0 on line 6 connect, and don’t think you can plug a usb-c cable to your lightning jack on an iOS device…you can only connect from the usb-c connection>usb-a female adapter>lightning cable. To me as a working musician this is a huge fail from Yamaha, it’s 2024 and they are back engineering 1990’s wired technology to connect to the app?? How about a Bluetooth option to connect to the app wirelessly? How about a single cable connection without additional adapters? A note indicator for the tuner on the app? Nope. How about a pedal layout that can be used on the app instead of having to manually get down and dial something on the pedal? So many misses on this product I’m considering dropping it back off at my nearest dealer for a refund and check out the Zoom multi effect products…
