I’ve been very unhappy using Apple’s player due to its handling and displaying of played episodes, so I searched the App Store for an alternative.
Podbox was exactly what I hoped for. It has a clean and simple interface and makes playing my favorite podcasts a breeze. Highly recommended.

Great app
I absolutely love this app.
Poor Search
I love how with the Apple offical podcast app, when I do a search, if my search term is in the podcast eppisode title, those come up. Yet with podbox when I search on a term it seams to only do searches on the podcast name. For example, I search on an author I like, Peter Boghossian, 31 episodes come up in the Apple official podcast app, (16 in Stitcher and 16 in TuneIn) yet when I try in podbox, nothing comes up.

Want to like it, but can't
Simple interface. But crashes frequently and "already played" button doesn't work. So it keeps re-downloading podcasts I listened to months ago. Deleting.

Best free podcast manager
PodBox is most similar to PodCruncher, which, in my opinion, is the best paid podcast app available. PodBox has a clean minimalist interface, and it has enough features to satisfy most users. Overall, it's a big step up from the default "Podcasts" app, and, for the time being, it's the best free podcast manager currently available.

New podcast user, was shuffling among Apps before settling on this one.. Blown away by neat and simple interface.. Love the download speed.. Very selective on paid Apps but this was worth the money.. Highly recommend to other listener..
