Poorly run app- quit before I began!
Incredibly obtuse and frustrating experience. A shame, as you are surely losing the help of good people! You definitely need some troubleshooting as there are some egregious bugs in your app.
Ok but needs work
The signup process is a bit clunky. My main complaint is that there isn’t (or I can’t find) a calendar view of all of my volunteer days. I would like them on a monthly calendar.
Also, it would be nice to be able to send the time and date to the iPhone calendar app.

App is terrible
The app is terrible and so is the website. Do a search and you can’t open more than one opportunity at a time (no new tabs, etc). Then when you try to go back (either by their “go back” button or the browser’s back button) to the original list, everything is gone, and a new search needs to be configured - otherwise it says no opportunities available. There are apps and websites that have no clue how to consider the user’s experience, and then there are apps and websites that feel like they are hostile to the user. This one is hostile. This problem has been going on for at least 6 months - I have no idea how they are getting people to use it. Maybe this was sabotage by an underpaid developer or something, but the experience is horrible and virtually unusable.

Admin?
I like Point and the idea of Point, but as a Point admin I am frustrated that I can’t add or manager volunteers / events in the app. I also can’t do it on my phone in my browser either. I have to get my computer out. This just a minor inconvenience.
Good (+ ideas for improvement)
I just started using this app and find the interface to be pretty good! The following things would make it much better (IMO), in order of importance to me:
1. Ability to see what personal info is public vs private, or “view page as” function. I’m asked for my address - who can see this???
2. Calendar integration to add events I’ve volunteered for.
3. Ability to choose more than one “cause” theme.
4. Ability to choose search radius and set it as permanently, so I don’t have to redo this every time I look at opportunities.
5. Ability to block/omit events/organization I’m not interested in. This will obviously be more important as more events/users are added.
Overall it’s functioned well for me so far and I’m grateful for the opportunity to use it.

Love this app!
I love that I can easily see what volunteer needs there are in my community and get signed up to help. The app looks great and I love the images that nonprofits can add to make their event pop. I also like that I can keep track of my volunteer involvement as a way to improve my resume. Overall great app for getting involved.

Terrible Application
Very difficult to find opportunities available. I wish there was a different better designed application that I could use.
can’t get past sign in screen
hey i downloaded this app because i wanted to volunteer more for my school but it wouldn’t let me sign in and just had a general error message with no specific reason as to why it wouldn’t let me. i don’t know what to do, please help!

I’ve seriously been looking for an app like this. I don’t have a lot of time to volunteer often so I love using POINT to do something good in my community on a saturday. Honestly thanks so much for all you guys do - can’t believe this app is free!!
Invasive
I don’t see the need to have a profile picture and my address. If people want that for me to volunteer, they can reject me.

Point makes it so effortless to connect with what you care about. Volunteers receive so much through giving and it’s great to have an app that supports this. And finally, the vital tech to support non-profits and their link to volunteers is here! Can’t wait to see it in Denver.
Best app in Columbus!
POINT is the absolute MOST convenient way to do more good in your city. Browsing volunteer opportunities is super easy, and the sign up process is very user-friendly. Each volunteering post has all the information you need about the event, but on top of that, you receive an email after RSVPing from a volunteer coordinator! It’s my favorite way to help out and get involved in Columbus, and it’s brought me so many great experiences!

Great resource
The POINT team has worked hard to help set our high school students up for success. My students can easily sign up for community events or school events and are getting excited about earning their service hours!
Great Aspirations
I love seeing startups doing work that actually makes an impact, as I aspire for the same one day. This is one of those companies. The app has some room for improvement. Putting in address on signup, but it not being applied as the anchor address for events; server response times need improvement (it’s timed out twice) or some load balancing. But other than those two issues, I didn’t see much else wrong so far. Great UI, easy to use. Hope the criticism is useful. Great job, keep it up. Can’t wait to get involved in some of these events.

This app is a phenomenal resource for anyone looking for volunteer opportunities. I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with the first steps in finding organizations to volunteer with or for anyone looking for more ways to give back. 10/10 for ease of use and quality design.

This app is great! Makes me feel so connected to events going on around me.
Very glitchy and potentially removed my account
I first got this app because I had to for a Government class and actually turned out liking it. But there were so many problems that came up afterwards. The whole app basically crashed and wouldn’t even let me use it. Then as I try to get on it later, it says that they don’t have my account anymore and that it might have been removed. That’s extremely frustrating since I have to use the app for school clubs and I was tracking my hours for college.
