Not sure why so many bad reviews. Works just fine in Dec. 2022 with a fully up to date iPhone XR.
The app control a joke right?
Where they find the people dev. the app.? First graders? Slow, black screen, random control menu (comes up when it feel like it).
Don’t Waste Your Money On A Cube
I’ve had my cube for 5 years and with the exception of the first 6 months, I seem to try to connect for hours via the app. It is beyond frustrating that they haven’t fixed the connection issues yet. I don’t even want to give it away bc it’s not worth the headaches someone else will have trying to connect to the cube like the majority of the Cube owners. I recommend to anyone wanting to get a cube, think twice and pay the extra $ for a GoPro. You would think after so many years of customer complaints Polaroid would at least attempt to update the app. Last update was over 1 year ago.

even worse
I haven’t tried using my cube+ on an iPhone since this app refused to show a preview on my iPhone 7+ years ago. I have a 12 Pro Max now and now the app is refusing to connect to the camera even though my iPhone is connected to cube’s WiFi. Also tried it on my iPad Pro and get the same results. The Cube+ stopped taking properly exposed photos years ago making the only way to take properly exposed photos with it possible being via connection to this app. Which no longer connects. I know features on old tech dwindle over time but sheesh. I guess the Polaroid name doesn’t speak much about long term support.

Camera preview doesn’t work
As others have pointed out, the preview function in the app does not work with later versions of iOS. Very sad as that is the main functional purpose of the app 😭

Using iPhone X 13.6.1 button on camera doesn’t work with app connected so have to control via phone which is very laggy and I don’t have any audio in playback
What good is an app if it does nothing?
I have a Cube+ I haven’t used in a while and find myself wondering why I bought it. So, I put the newest version of the app on my phone and had to update the Cube’s firmware.
Seems like a majority of the time, the app will not take a still photo.
What I have seen so far:
I tried multiple times to take a still photo with the app. I click the button on the app and it would beep as if it took one, but then nothing would appear on the screen. No photo was taken. I must have tried 20 times to take a photo of a mural and none of them took.
Without the app, I can’t take a photo at all.
When I go into the picture gallery of the app, only the most recent photo appears. No other photos. If I want to see any other, I have to take the card out of the camera and open it in my computer.
Sometimes, the app is stuck on motion picture form. There is no option to change modes. I have to go into the picture gallery, open a photo, and pray I can change modes this way.
It’s all these issues with the app now that reminded me why I quit using the camera then. The phone app is just random. It should be a red snapper, but I get a box of nothing most of the time.

No longer works
Does not connect through IOS 13 and Polaroid is no longer updating the app for future app use. The cube still works but all files must be uploaded through your computer. No more live streaming.

This camera was “meh” at best before the iOS 13 update, now the cube+ holds the same functionality and value as a paper weight, but hey, atleast this paper weight has a magnet! The Cube+ will no longer connect via the app even when successfully connected to your phone’s WiFi. Save your money for a better product such as GoPro.

June 7th, 2020 (STILL QUARANTINING)
I was so excited when I received this as a gift! Setup and WiFi connection was easy... until it came to actually opening the application. Camera isn’t working, and I didn’t even have any green buttons that people are speaking of; just the camera information on top of screen. Now what do I do with it ?...

I can’t get the app to connect to my camera
The app used to work but now it won’t connect to the camera. I can connect my phone to the camera wi-Fi but not to the app. What can be causing this. I haven’t use it in a while.
Doesn’t work
It won’t let me see what my camera is taking. I used to have this app on my iphone 5se and it worked great. But now that I have updated to the 11 it doesn’t work. I can’t see the preview of what i am taking so this app is pointless. 🙄
App Can’t Connect
Even though the Wifi connects, the App cannot connect to the Cube + The other option is to use the SD card with a persona computer, which defeats the use of many photoediting apps, since uploading photos to the computer and downloading them back to a phone or digital tablet.
Disappointed
This used to work so well and it’s pretty much useless now. For having so many negative reviews you think the app developers would take notice and want to make cube owners have the ability to use the app. Very disappointed.
Not working with IOS 13
Come on, we spend our money on your product and can’t connect to the app with IOS13. I am so tired of purchasing a product and not being able to use the app for it. Fix the issue and appreciate your consumers.

Used to work
Used to work fine, now I can’t connect to the app at all for the past couple of months. Extremely disappointed. I’ve tried thousands of times and deleted and reinstalled the app and nothing works. Now it will just became more garbage I suppose.
No support for ios 13
Tha app worked fine until upgrading to ios 13. Contacted Polaroid customer support and was informed that they would no longer update the app, which pretty much turned my cube + into a worthless piece of junk. Not happy. Will never purchase any products from Polaroid

The mother of ALL useless Apps
It simply will not connect or function at all no matter what including resetting the Wifi password / deleting and reinstalling the App / replacing the Micro SD as well as praying and hoping for a connection ..... Better stick with Gopro .

The UI is very unclear about what mode you’re in and what buttons to press. As you can see from many reviews many people can’t even find the “library” function (tap the small green horizontal bar)
Too bad the software quality doesn’t even come close to the hardware and now I have a paper weight unless they choose to update.
