About

PolarPantry is the shared home for everything in your fridge, freezer, and pantry — so the people who share a kitchen always know what's home, what to buy, and what each other loves. A shared kitchen has no shared brain. You both shop, neither knows what's already in the fridge, and the thing you ran out of never makes the list. PolarPantry turns your hidden inventory into one live, shared view — synced with your partner or family over iCloud — and adds the coordination on top. Why households love it: • See everything at a glance — a photo-card home screen for your fridge, freezer, and pantry, with color-coded expiry (green / orange / red) and a remaining-amount ring from full to almost-empty. • Share one fridge — a single invite shares your chosen locations and the shopping list with your partner or family. You both see and edit the same inventory, kept in sync over iCloud. See who each location is shared with, and stop sharing anytime. • Favorites — a shared memory of what your household loves: a partner's preferred brand, a "tried it, buy again," a note per product. Never forget what they like. • Never double-buy — check your fridge from the store. Save your supermarkets and get a reminder to check the app the moment you arrive. • Fast to add — scan a barcode, photograph a receipt to bulk-add a whole shop, or snap a printed best-before date and let the app read it. • Built-in shopping list — flag a recurring item and it re-adds itself when you run out; check things off in the store, then sweep the cart into your pantry at home. Shareable with your locations. • Your way — 1- or 2-column lists or 2/3/4-column card grids; sort by expiry, purchase date, name, or remaining amount; multiple photos per item; bulk mark-used or delete; purchase history with one-swipe restore; custom storage locations; expiry notifications on your schedule. Apple Intelligence (on capable iPhones): • Recipe ideas from what's expiring soonest, with a chat to refine — "swap the chicken for tofu," "make it spicier" — and add the missing ingredients to your shopping list in one tap. • AI-assisted receipt scanning that cleans each item's name, picks an emoji, and suggests a storage location. • Recipe preferences — dietary rules, allergies, cuisine, skill, cook time — applied to every suggestion. (On iPhones without Apple Intelligence, recipes show a friendly note and scanning uses a non-AI parser. Nothing is locked behind a purchase.) Privacy first: your data lives in your own iCloud account — no maker-run or third-party servers, no separate account to create, no analytics, no cross-app tracking. Apple Intelligence runs on-device. Sharing is over your own iCloud.

Coordinate your shared kitchen even better. • Reserve an item — mark something "this is mine, don't use it yet" so your household knows it's spoken for. • See who added each item in a shared kitchen. • Pick a nickname so everyone knows who's who, and see who you're sharing with right on the Sharing screen. • A sync status line ("Updated just now / Syncing…") so you can trust the shared list is current. • Fixes and refinements throughout. (AI features require an Apple Intelligence–capable iPhone.)
