Amazing

This app helps so much with figuring out tricky patterns & all my practice needs. The reason it gets a 4 star is because sadly, you cannot input nestled tuplets(such as 5:6 inside a ninelet).

Notifications Ruin Otherwise Great App

Paying $10 for something typically means that they will leave you alone to enjoy using the app that you paid for. If the notifications, prompts, ads, and questions etc. continue I’ll probably be switching to an alternative that allows me to practice in peace. This would have been a five start review otherwise.

What a rip, I understand charging for all the extra stuff but come on I can’t even create my own tempo playlist without a subscription, just straight up sleazy behavior 😒

It's a Scam

I paid $15 for the app to then be asked to pay an additional subscription of $60 per year!. Without the subscription the app is completely useless. Why do they charge to download it then???

Thanks for your feedback. I understand why seeing a subscription option after purchasing the app could be frustrating if you weren’t expecting it. To clarify, the App Store description does explain which features require Premium, and the core app is fully usable without a subscription. A lot of musicians use the basic version every day for things like saving unlimited presets, programming virtually any rhythm, creating instant polyrhythms, and much more. Premium adds a huge collection of advanced tools that go far beyond a typical metronome app. Features like Song Maps let you map the structure of songs or YouTube videos, slow down and loop sections for practice, create lead sheets, automate tempo and time signature changes, track practice time and goals, print band setlists, and a lot more. Many of those features could honestly be standalone apps on their own. The subscription is what allows me to continue developing new features, maintaining the app, and providing personal support to musicians who need help getting the most out of it. There’s also a free 1-month Premium trial included, which gives plenty of time to properly explore those advanced features and decide whether they’re valuable for your workflow. Depending on your use case, the app can save countless hours of setup, rehearsal stress, and manual practice work. One other thing worth mentioning is that the subscription price you’re seeing is in AUD, not USD, which makes a fairly significant difference for users outside Australia. I genuinely appreciate you trying PolyNome, and I’m always open to feedback on how the app and pricing can be communicated more clearly. Best, Joe

The only metronome you’ll ever need

I’m a music teacher and performer. I’ve downloaded most if not all the iOS metronomes to review for my students. This is the one I use for teaching, studying, and performing. It’s feature rich yet easy enough for a beginner. It handles all the subdivisions I need for teaching from a simple click to advanced nested tuplets. The track mark up is a very helpful feature for transcribing and learning songs. The playlist feature has so many uses. I make setlists for all my bands. I control them externally via MIDI. It’s also useful for studying and practicing longer music passages. I uploaded samples of my favorite metronome. I love it. My Dr, Beat and transcribing apps don’t. It’s so good that I paid for the premium service. The developer is amazing and always replies to any questions.

Great tool for drummers

It's a great metronome and so much more!
I use it to create drum charts quickly with the Track Markup feature. You can capture the number of bars and label each section of a song while listening to it from within the app. Saves a lot time when learning new songs.
Also, great integrations with Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, ForScore and more.

I see the vision but…

I can appreciate the advanced controls but the UI feels a bit convoluted in my opinion. Additionally wasn’t a fan of the fact that the playlist and tempo changing feature was only accessible in the $32 premium package, *after* i already paid $10 for the basic app. That’s what I thought made this app special but constantly being asked to get premium doesn’t feel worth it I’m going to stick with ProMetronome and program my own tempo changing exercises in Ableton.

Eigentlich ne gute App. Aber alle guten Sachen,die man damit machen kann,benötigen zusätzlich ein Abo bzw. die premium Version…. Finde ich schade. Hat so ein bischen Geschmäckle das Ganze….Sollte man in der Werbung angeben

Das ist in der App-Store-Beschreibung auch klar angegeben. Die Basic-Version, die du erworben hast, ist jedoch bewusst so gestaltet, dass sie bereits sehr umfangreich ist und für viele musikalische Anwendungen gut genutzt werden kann. Zusätzlich beinhaltet die App einen großzügigen einmonatigen Premium-Testzeitraum, in dem alle Funktionen ohne Einschränkung ausprobiert werden können. So kann man in Ruhe entscheiden, ob Premium für die eigenen Bedürfnisse sinnvoll ist. Danke auch für den Hinweis zur Wahrnehmung. Solches Feedback hilft mir, die Kommunikation rund um die App weiter zu verbessern. I was drawn into paying as thought I‘d get some great looking features. But no they require a subscription or you just get a basic metronome that’s free everywhere else, real buyers remorse , I‘ll never pay up front again.

Best metronome App ever

This is a short, but long overdue review, due to circumstances beyond my control!
The multiple uses of this app are amazing and it will be a long while before I master all the possibilities.
The list of features shows just how powerful this “best of metronomes” is.
The demos and tutorials are first class, and
for me, the highest feature is the way Joe deals with questions and issues in a personal way that actually solves your problem. A rare feature these days!

Unbelievable! No brainer purchase

One of the things that met Apple successful as a company was that they figured out what the public wanted before the public even knew. PolyNome is an app that does just that. It does everything you could ever hope for and then six months or a year later as you have improved you’ll think of a feature that you need and you’ll discover that it’s already there. And that happens again and again and again and again and again. Brilliant work by an exceptional coder and exceptional professional drummer.

Metronom ist wirklich das Beste, dass ich je benutzt habe und hat alle Funktionen, die man irgendwann eventuell mal brauchen könnte.

Das Excel unter den Metronomen (Excel steht hier für Excellence!)

Nach jahrelanger Suche bin ich hier endlich fündig geworden! Es ist die mir bisher wirklich beste und umfangreichste Metronom-App, die ich benutzt habe. Als Profi Musiker und unterrichtender Instrumentallehrer vereint sie alles, was ich gesucht habe! Hier stehen so gut wie keine Wünsche offen!
