Not just generative, but definitely incredible
I have been trying loads of step seq to find one that is multitrack, quick and yet deep - this is the one. I had passed it by as I wasnât looking for a generative seq, but itâs just as great at fixed patterns. The generative sequencer is, however, capable of great beauty- as is the lovely synth voice that can sound anything from brassy to plucky to smooth - somehow the sequencer just has the right balance of change and it feels connected to my actions and changes, instead of being an AI I just listen to. Itâs brilliant, just brilliant.

Sehr musikalischer Sequenzer
⊠mit dem ich stĂ€ndig arbeite. Umso bedauerlicher sind die Probleme beim Laden in AUM (im I-Pad 2022), was den Live-Einsatz unmöglich macht. Eine Behebung wĂŒrde sofort den 5. Bewertungspunkt bringen- und noch mehr Sympathie fĂŒr den Entwickler.
Best of its kind for endless jam sessions
I have been trying different generative apps for the iPad and this is the best Iâve tried so far. I doubt Iâll buy another since this does what I want.
Itâs simple and immediately ready for use. Just press play.
Itâs deep with all kinds of constraints to manipulate.
There is a nice webpage explaining how to use the features for anything I canât immediately figure out.
Oh and one little thing I almost forgot to mention⊠It actually sounds interesting. These are not simple robotic arpeggios or non-musical sounding randomness. I can actually turn this on and just jam with my drum machine and guitar.

Amazing app, endless exploration.
I use this all the time to sequence software or hardware. It has a synth engine built in but itâs not about that. I would advise to leave it running your other gear. Had fun as soon as I installed it and Iâm Still learning new things about it. Really canât ask for more.
AUv3 Please
So much potential, so many possibilities if only the Developers would add AUv3, Ableton Link and separate track MIDI outputs we could modulate to our heartâs content. Alternatively a MIDI file export would be a useful stopgap solution until AUv3 becomes a necessity. Apart from that, Iâm having a great time with it.

Midi to trigger the internal beautiful sound engine .
Love the app.... and would love an Auv3 update please...but also ...I love the sound engine of this treasure POLYPHASE... is there any way of being able to play the synth engine as a synth as well, for playing live solos over the generated sound. Thanks.
Keeps crashing
This is a fantastic app but every time I try to have a session with it it keeps crashing. when I try to save or run an external synth crash. Have lost work. If they fix the bugs it would be a 5 star app ~ so far I canât get anything created. I am on the latest iPad and iOS

Love the level of control, but also you can sit back and let it produce a great melody. Well engineered.
My one request is to be able to record to a MIDI file & save it to the ipad. Maybe it exists but I could not figure it out.

Diese App mag ich wirklich sehr, es ergeben sich automatisch wundervolle KlĂ€nge die man dann ĂŒber verschiedene Parameter manipulieren kann. Wie der Titel schon sagt, hĂ€ngt sich Polyphase oft auf. Schade... :(

Beautiful melodies
This is without doubt on of the best generative music apps.
Allows plenty of user control and produces suprising results.

Great long-play generative music maker
If you like the Fugue Machine app then you are going to wear out the buttons on your copy of the Polyphase app. Of course, it is wired up differently than Fugue but the internal help/instruction file got this know-nothing up and running with pleasing results within minutes. Have run Polyphase for 24 to 48 hours at a stretch many times now without any issues I can trace back to Polyphase. When you drive the many available audio unit extension apps (etc) with Polyphase (via AUM) for hours on end you soon realize many can't go the distance without failing, but, Polyphase keeps pumping out the tune with those left standing đ. Another thing I really like about Polyphase is how easy it is to change the 'mood' of the sound it is generating. Potent! 4/2019 iOS 12.2 iPadPro12.9 Really hope Marcos Kohler keeps building on this successful implementation with a new app rather than risking Polyphase with feature creep. For example, if an iPhone version is pondered maybe go the route of Animoog and offer separate apps for each platform. One other suggestion from the peanut-gallery here. Having spent a few hours looking at the Polyphase interface layout, where I 'see' natural 'panels' of control groupings, I'm guessing it would lend itself to something like the way IceGear has so beautifully designed their synth control layout for the iPhone. đ
Anyhow, I shudder to think how many of my brains cells it would destroy trying to create something comparable on the iPhone.

En cette pĂ©riode oĂč les sĂ©quenceurs midi « generatifs » (dĂ©solĂ© mais je ne trouve pas le terme appropriĂ©) sont lĂ©gion (Riffer, Autony, Physicles, Cality...), PolyPhase est vraiment original, une aide Ă la crĂ©ativitĂ©, un remĂšde contre la panne dâinspiration.

love it. not more to say.
Love it but......
Great midi generator with lots of bells and whistles. Itâs a bit difficult to set up in AUM as the slave! Iâve read the instructions quite a few times. Yet I was unable to set up the generator to the master tempo of AUM. Also, thereâs no Ableton link support natively making it a task to sync record midi. Yes, thereâs other ways to do it but make it native. Otherwise, this is amazing.
