A great device and App!
I’ve had my POM now for about 3 months and am so glad I got one! I really do feel safer with it and also feel that I am in a position to help someone near me if they need medical assistance or the police.
In the short time I’ve had it the company has continued to improve the app and are very open to suggestions.
I’ve tested the emergency feature and am impressed by how quick the response is and how professional the dispatchers are.
I also like the 5 second hold and have used it to get a fake call when I need to discreetly excuse myself from an uncomfortable situation. In addition, it sends either a text or call to whomever you designate with a pre-written message along with your location so I feel this is an extra measure of security in situations that don’t rise to the immediacy of needing the police or an ambulance. For instance, a salesman came to my door and was very persistent. I didn’t want to slam the door in his face so I used the 5 second hold to receive a fake phone call and was able to end the sales visit without feeling uncomfortable.
For myself I never thought I would use the Find My Keys function but lo and behold I have used it numerous times already! For example, I am pretty disciplined about putting my keys on a certain counter when I arrive home. But the other day I had to rush to the sunroom to check my computer quickly and unknowingly placed my keys on the desk there. I would have spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for them if not for the Find My Keys function since it was so unlike me to leave my keys in that location. This has happened on other occasions when I am particularly rushed.
The Virtual (Walking) Escort is a great function also- I use it as extra security when I am traveling at night or to an unfamiliar location.
I love the fact that the Profile portion of the App has the capacity to hold whatever personal info you may want emergency responders to have- besides your home and contact info, contact info for your loved ones, but also important medical info such as your blood type, medicines, medical conditions, etc- all vital info for an emergency responder.
I show my POM to everyone I meet- I feel that it is something everyone should have, regardless of age, sex or medical condition. Hopefully, you never need to use it but it really gives Peace of Mind to have it.
I’ve recently had surgery and since I am at an increased risk of falling I have been wearing the POM on a chain around my neck. This definitely makes me feel more at ease. Once I’m healed I will put it back on my keychain.
I highly recommend this personal safety device and this App!

Don’t test the dispatch
I love the idea, but the execution isn’t quite there yet. The issues I’ve found, and my classmates at our university have found:
The troubleshooting doesn’t really work. If it’s not going to connect, it’s just not going to
also, don’t test the dispatch. It says it’s a test, but it will call the police anyway. just assume it works, unless your public safety office is kind about accidents, then feel free to test

Safety & peace of mind!
I started using POM when I started a new job and had to walk about 10 minutes to get to and from the office. I park on a street off of a main area of town with minimal lighting & pedestrians so I always feel safer having my POM with me, especially in the winter when it’s most dark.
I also find it very useful when I go out late at night with friends where I could potentially be alone (walking from place to place, in an Uber, etc.). Knowing that I have a device that will alert authorities in seconds if I need help or am in an uncomfortable situation allows me to feel safe in my day-to-day life. Love POM!

Peace of Mind
This app has been able to give me exactly what it is called, some peace of mind.
As I walk out of the house, it gives me extra comfort knowing I have my POM on me and that it is quickly accessible if I were in a position where I needed to use it.
The device attaches easily to my keychain, which I pretty much always have on me. It doesn’t even feel like an extra step to have the device wherever I am.
The app is very user friendly.
I’ve even used the key finder feature more than once when I thought I misplaced my keys.
The app also sends reminders when my charge is low, and a quick charge brings the battery back to full.
I would recommended this app and already recommended it to my younger cousin who will be starting her freshman year of college this fall. Her parents loved the idea of her having a POM.

Effortless safety!
I live/work in NYC and I tried the POM because a friend recommended it. I’m super happy I did. The app is very user friendly, the device is small so I can carry it with me 24/7. I always feel safe when I carry the POM! So glad this is available and I recommend this to anyone!
Good app, still buggy
App shows features and helps user create the profile well, but there are some issues with it.
- the app’s text/sizing/etc is off. When I first opened the app the text was cut off on either end like it was expecting my screen to be bigger. This continues through other pages as well.
- when typing into fields at the bottom of a page (like the personalized text message) you cannot see what you are typing. Additionally, you cannot copy/paste, so you can’t even type it out in another application.
- doesn’t send a call to my phone. I tried to get it set up so that it will send a text message to an emergency contact and fake a phone call to me but it only sent the text.
- distances are a bit strange. I’m sitting maybe 3 feet from my POM and it thinks I’m 21 feet away.
Aside from these issues the app works and I really liked how easy it was to learn my way around the app and set up my account. I also appreciate that the features are easily accessible and understandable.
Overall I would recommend this to someone else.

The update is amazing
I love the new dashboard. It’s so easy now to keep connected and i like the features at the bottom of the screen. The key finder has saved me too many times.
Gen 3 POM
Simple to set up (just a few taps on the app) and the new interface makes it easy to stay connected. If you’re not connected, you will get an alert and reconnecting is easy.
POMCO Gen 1
I received a POMCO from my university and was delighted, but then I attempted to active the device through the app and was very disappointed. The app is no help for the early generation 1. It tells me to press the side button on my device to connect it to my phone...well there is no side button on my device. Don’t know what to do and customer service won’t get back with me. Wanted to put 0 stars.
