About

Pome is chat and games for the people around you. The same room, the same house, the same building. It works with no internet, no signal and no accounts, because your phone talks straight to theirs. Open it and you see whoever is nearby. Say something and they see it. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Talk to everyone nearby at once, or one to one. • Make a room for a conversation. Leave it open, put a passcode on it, or make it invite only. • Play a game at a table in any room: Link 4, chess, checkers, Go, Reversi, Crazy Eights, Hearts, Spades, Bluff and more. • Nobody around? Every game seats house bots, so there is always someone to play. • Draw a sticker, make a face for yourself, and send both. HOW IT WORKS Phones connect straight to each other over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi. Messages hop from phone to phone to reach further, so a room full of people carries further than any single phone could. No servers are involved at any point. That also means Pome only reaches people who are physically near you. There is no directory, no search, and no way for a stranger across town to find you. GOOD FOR Dorm floors and lecture halls. Long flights and road trips. Campsites, festivals, basements, and anywhere the bars run out. A kitchen table where everyone would rather play something than pass one phone around. WORTH KNOWING • If nobody is nearby, your lobby will be empty. That is how it works, not a fault. • Messages live on the phones that saw them and nowhere else. • A language filter is on by default. Anyone can be blocked and reported instantly, and everything they have said disappears from your phone the moment you do. • No ads. What's New in Pome

1.0.1

September 4, 2026

Games recover faster when the host's phone disappears. A room can no longer get stuck after a match ends. Phones that first met over Bluetooth move to Wi-Fi automatically when both are available, which frees Bluetooth for others. Fixed: the invite button on the empty lobby screen now shares properly.
