What the heck
I had to use my iPhone to take out the robot because for someone reason android app does not work at all keeps saying not in water when it is fully submerged… holy heck test before updating
Poor software
This works sometimes, but when it quits it’s difficult to get it connected again. Support is minimal.
Hydro 4se not connecting
We cannot use our hydro 4se. It shows connected on phone but vacuum keeps blinking. I need to vacuum my pool. Needs to be fixed
Not perfect, but useful
The app is imperfect, and the pairing with my Hydro 4, for which I have both battery and power cable capabilities, was tricky but I got it done. The Bluetooth works when on battery, but recharging is a nuisance.
So I use the power cable almost exclusively. I have the control box programmed to our home wifi and mounted on a wall near the pool and have Alexa turn the power on at 9:15 and off at 11:45 each morning. And the robot is programmed to run from 9:30 to 11:30 am daily. And it works GREAT!
Long distance connection to the system is possible, though I haven’t felt a need to run the system remotely when we’re away hundreds of miles traveling. I simply have someone come and dump and clean the filter basket every 2-3 days.
By the way, buying a second filter basket so you can just swap a dirty basket for the clean one makes the filter basket exchange/cleaning routine a breeze.
All in all, my Hydro 4 is terrific!

Connecting
When I got it was fine, now is GARBAGE unable to connect. The more update they di , the worse it becomes !!!
