Used it during SXSW at Austin
I used it and have joined couple of events through the app. It was good for meeting new people and find whats happening.
No option to delete account
So I just downloaded this app, but unfortunately there isn’t anyone else using this app near me. I couldn’t figure out how to find new people, so I want to delete my account but there doesn’t seem to be an option to? This is ridiculous.
This app does seem interesting from the looks of it, but I am frustrated at the fact that I am simply not allowed to delete my account.

Cant get past onboarding
I cant use the app because it throws an internal server error when I set a codename

Its a great app and great concept. They just rolled out PopIns and its so good.

Great way to hangout instantly
I was able to grab boba with other students on campus right after class because I was bored. It’s pretty convenient to use and worth the try when you have some down time.
Amazing App to Meet Friends
This is such a great way to meet friends on campus! I love the bubble animations and the prompts are thought provoking. Thank you, Pop!
Stress-free, fun, and lots of potential
Have been using this app for 5 months now and my experience has only gotten better with each update!
I love the card 🃏 carousel experience and sometimes just like swiping forever on the carousel just to look at the cards. Being able to match with new strangers nationally is great, and I like that my identity is mostly anonymous, so that it isn’t just like any of the other dating and matching apps. I can definitely feel how this app delivers an experience tailored to college students!
The chat 💬 experience is also constantly improving and I am loving all the new features and added stability. I appreciate how the chat UI integrates so well with the rest of the app, and also does some features, like reacting to messages, in a unique manner—almost like a Discord-Messenger crossover. The 1:1 chat “switching” mechanism is really interesting, but I hope it is more configurable (e.g., how many switches, what information to reveal, etc.) Maybe some sort of a “profile visibility” section could work.
This app has great potential! I only wish there were some built-in mechanism to encourage users in general to chat more and keep the conversation going meaningfully—maybe via conversation topic “prompts”, similar to Gatheround.com. Or, encourage users to meet up in person to foster a stronger bond—maybe by giving a coupon to use at a local diner’s or something!

A great way to meet college students
Pretty unique app and I like that it enables students to be anonymous. There’s room for improvement but I’ve gotten the chance to talk to several new people already. I even grabbed boba with a user I met on Pop!
Haven’t used it much but fun so far!
Just downloaded the app and haven’t used it all that much but I really am enjoying it so far! The idea is really cute and I love the quiz aspect
Pretty cool
I kinda love it. There are a few bugs but it's not too bad. After those have been worked out, I can see this being a "pop"ular app😏.. I'll see myself out😔

I really like the app and some of the ideas behind it like the anonymous names and all. However, I think that there are a lot of glitches and small issues that need fixing. The glitches and such affect the overall efficiency of the app. For example, when I am sent a request and I reply to the request, it doesn’t show up on the chat and I have to send the message again for them to receive it. Also with the feature to “meet up” when you send enough texts, there should be more initiative and clearness to that. Like maybe add a “scheduler” type of feature where the people can schedule a meet up or smthg (i mean maybe not during the pandemic but...) And just sometimes the buttons won’t work or the sign in page will glitch and etc etc. There’s some other glitches but basically I would say just fix the bugs, add more interesting features that make people want to keep using it, and it’s a pretty solid app. This is just my honest opinion lol.

Simply a unique app that every college student can benefit from!
I love the concept of the app. I have never heard of a concept like this and I’m so glad a bunch of students made it a reality. Regarding the app, it works great!

Enormous Potential
I loved the basic idea behind Pop: connect with people based on how they behave, not what they look like. I think the concept not only does a great job of promoting inclusivity, but also has the potential to be an essential app on any college student’s phone. It has also made befriending other people in my university easy, and has been a useful tool particularly for connecting with people in the middle of the pandemic.
I think with a few minor changes to the interface, such as options for custom username selection, Pop would really explode on the social networking scene. Nevertheless, using the app is highly worth it, you won’t be disappointed!

this app helped me make friends at college during covid
Great concept
I really like the concept of this app! I’ve noticed on other social media people are always looking to find friends but the apps don’t really have features specifically for that, so people try to find friends in the comments. This app is specifically FOR finding friends so everyone has the same goal, and I’ve already talked to some really interesting people from across the country. I know it’s still new and has some issues, but I think it’s an amazing concept and the tech stuff will be figured out as it grows.

Perfect app for college, even during the pandemic!
Wow! Pop honestly is an app I wish I found sooner, or had available to me freshman year. The anonymous profiles make every match feel more genuine and less fake — I don’t feel like I have to keep up this online persona to impress the other person. The ui/ux is also so cute and inviting, it’s still a new platform so I’m not saying everything is perfect, but I can’t see myself deleting the app anytime soon. I miss physical campus and this app really is such a great way to make more friends ☺️
