Background music and droning voice

Why do religious apps think they have to have a musical background. It’s annoying. It’s also an accessibility issue for hard of hearing people. In addition, a very slow ponderous read detracts from the message. We have only listened to two, and already considering abandoning the app.

I was excited to discover that this app exists and I fully understand the need for the yearly cost for this work and find it a reasonable amount. I’m hopeful that a “share“ functionality might be added.

Fire your reader!

While I just love having portals of prayer devotions on my phone, the reader sounds like a sing songy Kermit, the frog. It's terrible and I'm not sure why you are doing this. I love Audible things and would love to be able to listen to Portals as well, but I can't..

Blank Screen

Just about every time I open the day’s devotion, I get a blank screen. I have to force close the app and restart it to get the devotion to show up.

Other than that, I’ve liked it.

Is not reliable

I never know when I open the App if I will see the current day’s devotion or a blank screen. Most of the time I can “find” the devotion but sometimes I cannot. The same is true for the daily prayers.
I like the convenience of using the app and Bible on my IPhone especially when traveling so I put up the the blank screen sometimes.
