Disappointed
I just bought this App and am extremely disappointed in the results. Where it does transform a photo into the look of a painting, you cannot get a natural look. All the colors come out harsh and severe. A misrepresentation as far as I’m concerned since their ad shows a softer, more natural look on the little boy.

Excellent app!!!! One of the best.
I love this app. It is so much fun and converts images beautifully. I wish that they would let you add creative text boxes and text. Also, they should add easy cropping/scissor options so that you can easily cut images/objects/people from one photo and place it onto another photo and then convert into a painting. This would be perfect if they added those features. I think many would pay for an app with all of those options.

Fabulous
This app is very good at what it is designed for, turning photos of people into paintings. It is also brilliant when you apply it to landscape photos, producing, in a few seconds, what normally takes me hours of work in much more expensive apps. It is also absolutely stable, unlike some other apps I have used - it just never gets stuck or throws you out - it just works! I love both the realistic type portrait paintings, and also the ability to specify really bold colours, really long, thick bristly brush strokes and the ability to have the pictures without a canvas texture, so that you can print them onto canvas without the app canvas texture interfering with the image. It really is very, very good! I have motor neurone disease and this app helps me to be able to continue making paintings from my photos even though my coordination and muscle strength are very poor, so it has made me very happy. I don’t know if it always puts a little camera logo in the bottom right corner, but I prefer my pictures without that and use another app to remove it.

Does Not Access Photos on iPad
Went to privacy/photo setting. Portrait Painter did not show up as an app requesting photos. This app is useless. Wasted my time and money. DO NOT BUY!
Not quite what Is hoped for.
Although I like the initial transformation, I am disappointed that when it says crop unwanted background, it only means cutting off the sides and top and bottom, not being able to actually crop round the picture. There are other free apps that provide what you have here if I am missing something, please let me know.
